After yesterday’s success, three of us decided to head to the same spot for a bit of grouper hunting. This will be my last trip out for a while as I’m off to Singapore for a few years.
We arrived around 7pm to a lovely evening with a light breeze.
The tide was still going out though so we didn’t get a bite until low water.
I was first in with a Gelama, followed by another for Deris a little while later. One more Gelama came in for Edi and yet another for Deris. Edi kept his usual luck and landed a small Pari.
A couple of nods from my rod tip indidcated a bigger fish and in came a good sized Duri.
The best fish prize then went to Deris with a nice Snapper around 1.5kg.
Despite our efforts to beat this, that was it for the night. Less fish than we’ve had before, but the quality Snapper made up for it. Nice to see a happy Deris too!!
