as far as my experience tells me, the small fish (u all call lampams) are usually in certain spots only. also, if u use fish meat, more likely to attract them. prawns less likely, although occasionally they still ‘murder’ our live prawns. hehe.
maybe it’s troublesome now. but dunno whether got enough for a competition.
maybe just give incentive to ppl who catch it la. a bit incentive, not necessarily in monetary terms. maybe 5 or 10 lampams for an hour of fishing? hehe.
so far almost every time i go, i will see one or two guys just targeting the small lampams. guess they find it easier to fish for those, and maybe they taste not bad?
actually, i find the small fish increases the challenge, which is not necessarily a bad thing all the time.
I hear ppl mumbles(rungutan) that the lampams /tilapia makes the fishing not an eased. However, I kinda agree with our friend that the lampam makes a challenge to fish there.
Some ppl also says the siakap / MJ is well fed with the lampams /tilapia in the pond and indeed… the fish are fat fat one.
A little late for me as I have to rush back to pick my daughter from school.
Not to worry - if I catch anything, then I will be the guy walking out with a bounce in each step - if not, will probably crawl out from under the fence somewhere [:D]
even though i haven’t kena any jackpot fish (3-7kg) yet.. what i see on the jackpot table is that the jackpot fish always bite at night or in the middle of the night… seldom do they eat during daytime.
most recently, i think i saw the jackpot table got about 6-8 fish, only one during daytime. the rest all when it’s dark already only makan. in fact, the previous month’s jackpot table also showed a similar pattern. most of the big fish eat from about 7pm-6am only.
I think if wanna target jackpot fish, should go for midnight package. i can’t wait till i can la. now i ban myself from fishing to focus on some work. once finish, i’ll try to be there a few nights in a row, n take midnight package during weekends, just to look for jackpot fish. hehe.
