This is my third time going to Lake Chenderoh with Defishco and Bigbite88 new to the lake. Would the third time be the charm? Read on…

We arrived at the jetty half and hour late but spirits are high.

Heavy overcast clouds for the whole trip basically but Bigbite88 manage to hook up his very first Sebarau.

The sky opened up around noon time but we took shelter just in time.

Defishco getting ready while waiting for the rain to pass. Bigbite88 taking a snooze in the cool weather.

The early bird catches the worm. The early angler catches the fish.
Defishco got this Toman next to the jetty at around 6:30am.

Again just minutes before the end of the trip. Defishco got the biggest fish of the trip. A small Sebarau.

Summary
Fishing is poor. Overall we got 3 Sebarau and 1 Toman. (and 2 small Lampan and 1 mini Soon Hock for fun) All are considered small. From my observation fishing at Chenderoh gets worse as the the weather gets wetter. There were untold Sebarau boils when I visited the lake the first time. This time we noticed less than 5 boils and little Toman rise.
Fishing pressure has increased tremendously as well as we saw local fishermen are putting nets on almost every turn of the lake. Apparently we are not the only one feeling the squeeze of the lack of fish. We meet some anglers that manage to catch just one Sebarau in half day of fishing. However, it was a 2 Kg Sebarau!
Nevertheless I have learned tons about this lake during my three visit here and she is still a pretty lake and worthy for further study. I am looking forward to return during the dry season. Until then, onwards to the other Northern Lakes!
