Frequent this pond at least 2 months once. Pond is infested with haruan which is consider a pest n need to be get rid of. Pond consist of giant black crap with the biggest caught at 25kg, one cast one fish baung, plenty of wan yee & Rohu and the elusive patin. Tilapia merah is not consider a catch cause is too easy to catch. Enjoy the pics!

haruan and tilapia and few other local species are such prolific breeders or survivors. can find them in any flooded waters or ponds. simply don’t know why they are so rare now?[:(]

You could be the right person to ask this question “What’s the biggest haruan landed?” Preferably actually weighed. And how old do you think that haruan is?

The biggest we land was abt 2kg. but the average size would be about 800 grams to 1kg.

This is a pond to breed fish n sell. We were there simply because the haruan is whacking the small fries. Need to get rid of them. Hehehe [:D].

Went for a session yesterday with James.
Caught a 5kg grass carp. The owner wanted it as dinner for the family. Wanted a 3kg fellow but this fellow took the bait instead. Good fight.
The haruan was biting. We caught 12 pcs in 2 hours. Still biting but at about 11am we had enough quota for the day.
Patin is abundant this time around. After awhile u grew bored of catching them. One cast one patin comfirm.
I caught one on frog lure + bread. They grew bigger and gave a good fight. Average abt 3 to 5kg.
Tilipia on popper. Kekeke
Something to expect when u r fishing at gopeng in one of the pond where tilapia n rohu dominate.

the pond is located somewhere inside lawan kuda. Kinda away from the town. Is alot of fun, but sometimes too much of a samething will get u kinda bored. Normally we go there for the haruan la cause is harder to catch. Hehe
