Mikey (of Hokkien Huey Kuan),
At the moment, saltwater species I’ve caught in KK’s kingdom are Tarpons, Saltwater Tilapia, Archerfish, Gerut2 and paypond Siakaps. Looking at the new “secret spots” he has generously revealed, I guess Jacks, wild Siakaps GTs and Haruans are definite possibilities in the very near future [:)].
Things are getting exciting as there is a group of very enthusiastic new fly fishos emerging in the Port Klang area.[:)]
<><ICHTUS><>
Mikey & Loban, come join us here lah…

tony and KuKu
got Siakap? Paypond fugitives/escapes hehe?
Looks like a fun place to fish, especially the good company, wish im there!
steve,
Wah now your camo jihat-cowboy hat has became part of the otekers’ official uniform haha.
btw,

i think i saw a Spey rod ?
Mikey, come over anytime and he’ll “kow tim” you. As for the Spey rod … it looks like one, but I don’t know what its supposed to be…more likely a spinfly thingy.[:D]
<><ICHTUS><>
oh i thought spinfly means casting flies with spinning… now i know casting lures with fly reel and spinning rod counts too hehe[:D]
as for Kuku.. cannot la.. please be specific…lots of meaning for the word ‘Kow Tim’ ok.. [:d]

kewl flyfishing spot…should try one day
Caught this yesterday, gonna try some flyfishing for this fish but really need Tony help, i was told by uBob that flyfishing does not required many space if you have the skill as per the KAGUM video by Tony and Novice…[:D]
I know where the fish are, you teach me how to hook them on fly…[:D]

Heheheh, NO WAY you can fly there under the port pillars.
Actually from wat i’ve heard, you can fly at those space constraint places. Those expert can do multiple roll over and donno how they flip their fly rod, they actually cast out the fly oredi, like a ribbon dancer(like Novice video).
But ofcourse i won’t bring them there laa, there’s a few more spot here in Port Klang that can fly fish for kurau…[:D]

Hi all…
In this situation,

Park the boat a little away from the jetty.
Use type 4 sinking line at least or lead core sinking line along with 8wt & above. Fly line set up with just 1m of 30 lb mono bite leader.
Just get a good load of big 2/0 to 4/0 Pink Thing, Black & Barred or Deceivers. Cast & let the fly sink to the bottom near the pillars.
Sure will hit something on on one of those trips ! ![]()
How to tie a pink thing, can refer to here.

Tight Lines!

Hi Jeff,
Take a look at this reference & follow suit on the setup.
Aust has the closest species to our terrain. So they have used extensively there, will work as good here too. ![]()

With the pillars… dont forget to jam the reel’s drag else fly lines also gone very fast.

Waah, thanks a million Jimmy. You just gave me the bible to Threadfin fly fishing, will study it and apply it here. After i get a few on fly, i’ll invite you over for some Kurau bashing…[:D]

Dry fly = Lalat kering, ie lalat before u smack it; after you smack it, it becomes a wet fly.
Or usually trousers have dry fly but if u pee in ur pants then u have a wet fly.
