Sawadee krub,
I will be in thailand between 13th march and 31st march and confirmed will be in Bangkok and Krabi. May also be going to Chengmai, Pattaya and other “fishy” places.
Are there any Thai forumers out there who may have some time to catch up for a chat, a drink or to wet a line?
Look forward to hearing from you guys!
Cheers
Were doing some rock climbing at Krabi ages ago. Local were pullling big cuttle fishes. You can try that at Ao Nang if you don’t mind fishing for those little cuttle fishes (1kg max).

Sild Bro,
thanks for the tip. Will try it out.
I will also be taking local charters in Krabi - straight out to Andaman sea I think!
Are you based in Thailand or Malaysia?
Chocolates no problem - as long as they don’t melt in the heat.[:)]

Carry a rod and speak softly.
Sild, one time during our first MFN Rompin Sailfish Challenge, I was chumming the sea very hard and Flicker served me chocolate…go imagine…

[:D][:D][:D] Those fishes must be enjoying
the chocolate drinks for a change. The last trip I had with flicker, he was doing the pole dancing from the fishing ground to the jetty.
Vincent,
we weren’t far behind in chumming too. Wasn’t much of a fishing trip - more like a chumming groupie! [xx(][xx(]

Thomas,
it worked though! I manage to last both days without chumming and left that to someone else! [:)][:)][:)]
So - where are all the thai anglers??

Thomas,
I am looking to meet some fishing kakis in each country I travel too. Hopefully develop some frienships like in NZ, Malaysia and Oz too.
I have been to BSR 3 times but couldn’t bring myself to fish there after seeing the deformed mouths of the fishes from being hooked too many times. That’s just me. I am not passing judgement on anglers who want to fish there.
I have been promised some very private ponds - will see what happens.
Testing the 8kg Viper multipiece and the 50lb jig trek multipiece this trip! Hopefully they both pass with flying colours.

Why? you already have a Thai guide.
If you go BSR, get a helper for mixing
baits for you, plus helping to land the
mekong for you.
I just had to puke after watching you do the ‘pole’ dance’… [:D]

Jon,
first salvo from you eh? [:)][:)]. Looks like we may have to start another war like A[:)]lex and Adrain. [:D][:D][:D]. Did I really look so bad on the pole? Next trip better get a professional pole dancer.[}:)]
Thomas,
some local friends are showing me the ponds but they are not fishos so their definition of good fishing and big fish may be different from ours. Will let you know when I find out![;)][;)]

Guys,
just to clarify - I wasn’t exactly “pole dancing”. I was getting queasy so I couldn’t sit and yak with the rest. I had to stand at the back of the boat to get fresh air and as the swells were quite bad I had to hang onto the pole to prevent myself from falling off the boat! hehehe
