yo guys… any1 made his own lure retriever lately? last time i saw FT’s diy pages but donno where izzit dy… any1 or even FT bro care to revisit this section… i thot itz a good tool to have if ur lures r stuck good… most of ya haf gone thru this… been there too, especially those lures kena hit by biggies b4 & suddenly got stuck in neverland hehe…
i prefer the unobtrusive & simple type, sans the dangling dog chain & the works, coz im kinda person who think ‘the smaller the simpler the better’ as long as it gets da job done… waiting patiently…

just regular galvanized wire(used in fence construction). a thicker wire will do a better job. weights can be added to the LR by using some leads n snaps.

I am thinking about making a lure retriever. We call them Plug Knockers where I come from. There was a good one that was made in this area at one time, but they have quit making them. I want to start making them again. I was just not sure what kind of wire I could use.

hi long time no see bz with work here.. so the wire u can get it in any hardware shop in town. yes is just normal stell wire the diameter not very important. just u feel that the wire can stand to pull out ur lure is ok. that thing is too light so must add some weight on it like FT said. for it eazy to reach the lure.
Does anyone know where to get a lure retriever and how much does it cost? Err, and another question …can a fly be used on a spinning reel and rod??? Thanks
