1-Where to find the suitable magnet? Any specific shop I can go?
2-What type of glue used… supar glue??? I think not…
3-Thinking to uprade/replace my old Abu Amb 6500 drag… any recommendation???

i get mine from two source either from the toy dart which got 6 mmx4 mm mag or go to hardware (but it’s hard to get the tiny size)
yeap, supa geluu…coz any type of mixed epoxy will meltz when exposes to heat…
buy CM drag, available from most big tackle shop in Malaysia…i think…

hav a tot about the toy but not sure it the mag got enough “power” managing the super spin of the small avet 5.1 (still in consideration for inshore & surf), I heard Bro Onn using one for surf.. any comment from him???
yeap…got enough power coz it was earth mag, which is now all my magged reel (only one mag 6mmx4mm)attached with that type of mag(from toy dart)…but to be sure, dont look for the black colour mag (which got less power), search for the chrome one, sure it must be the earth mag which is more powerfull from the black or unchrome mag…

Ebay banyak, try search rare earth magnet. Just a suggestion.
Or better still, get the magnetic tool picker, look like a screw driver attached to fm radio antena. Very strong magnet, cut it of together with the cup/magnet holder…the rest you know lahh

Mixed epoxy does not melt… you’re thinking about glue gun. Epoxy is very much permanent.
I know this is an old post but if you or other people want to know where you cant get a magging magnet which is very is to install for abu’s, you can find the right magging knob from ebay seller blakdog_tackle or website http://www.blakdogtackle.com/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=knob&categories_id=&inc_subcat=1&x=10&y=0.
Mag also comes with instal instructions. All you need to do is drill the correct hole size for the mag to fit on the side plate
