Hi guys,
Long time no tourny coz “no court no tourny”. Anyway we have found a court which is acceptable for distance casting. As some of you know it is in Puncak Alam. Its a private land but the the caretaker appears friendly and is aware of our activity but cautioned us not to “mess up” the place. So since we have a court I’m happy to announce that we’re gonna have a Malaysia distance casting tournament. We’re gonna have it on sunday 4th December 2011. I will furnish the details once we finalise the rules and regulations but its pretty much standard. Please spread the good word and come participate in our tournament.

This years organizing committee are pleased to announce details of the Malaysia distance casting tournament 2011. Here they are:
1)Entrance fee: Ringgit Malaysia 70
2)Category/sinker weight: 100g(5 casts) & 125g(5 casts)
3)Line diameter: 0.28mm for both category
4)Prizes:
a)Open 100g: top 3 casters
b)Open 125g: top 3 casters
c)Open overall best distance: top 10 casters
d)Closed malaysian overall best distance: top 3 casters
5)Tournament begins at 9am and will break for prayers/lunch(provided)12.30-1.30pm.
I think we have covered what is most important so do not forget our tournament is on SUNDAY 4th December 2011.
What I need from you is confirmation on your commitment to participate, as soon as possible because we need to make preparations.

Hi guys,
This is an update for the Malaysia distance casting tournament 2011. I have been informed by Opi that 6 casters from the Nangka gang are attending,great news. Actually guys I hope that Singaporean casters junior or senior support our annual event. This is the only time where we can get together for the love of the sports and compete internationally. Anyway here is our program for the duration:
On Saturday morning 3rd December 2011 the organizing committee will be involved in marking the casting court. So if there are early arrivals please hang in there. Most probably we will finish by 1pm & rendezvous with you guys.
There will be the “traditional” welcome dinner courtesy of Aznaff at his house at 7pm onwards on Saturday night. For this we applaud his kind generosity, keep it up god bless him.
Sunday 4th December tournament day:
1)Casters are advise to leave for the casting field at 7am.
2)Registration 8-8.45am.
3)Tournament begins at 9am.
4)12.30-1.30pm break for lunch and zohor prayers.
5)1.30pm resume tournament.
6)5.30pm prize giving ceremony.
7)6.30pm farewell till we meet again in 2012.
Just to let you all know Edi will be in-charge of Edros & friends, Opi-Nangka group whereas Aznaf/Khalid in-charge of Hafeez/Tang & friends.This is just to give you all some idea about the set up but in reality we the organizers are responsible for all the casters no worries okay. Please don’t hesitate to call us for anything, we aim to help you. Till we meet again safe journey…
Latest development guys,
We have received word that there might be a total of 32-35 casters participating. Due to this overwhelming support that will definitely impact our schedule the organizing committee has decided to review the casting program. To avoid an overrun this is our decision:
- Registration will begin during dinner in Aznaff’s house.
- A goody bag with your lines, sinkers & participant’s numbers will
given upon registration. - Spooling is strictly to be done on the court on tournament day
under the scrutiny of the marshals. - If the final total casters participating are more than 25 we will
only get to cast 4 times for each category but if less than 25 we
get 5 cast each. - We will begin casting 125g then followed by 100g.
- Whatever it is we will be divided into 2 groups during casting.
Please cooperate so that measurement will be speedy.
