MFN 2010 Pro. Fishing T-shirt - Closing 13/2

Some of you may have received your email from me today. If not, this is your copy for your reference:</font id=“blue”>

Dear fellow forumer,

This is my first e-mail to you for 2010. January has ended and here comes February in a matter of hours. I hope fishing for you was good for 2009.

2009 has been a rather quiet year for MFN. There were no major events except for pockets of small gathering done by fellow members. Indeed with the financial crisis of 2009, I had no intention of doing any major events, like the U-series, because I would rather have everyone focused on work and family. Nonetheless, I am pleased to see that we have many pockets of small gatherings of forumers across the country.

U-series

2010 seemed to be a better year. I assure you the U-series - U7 - will happen and I will be scouting for a new location that I hope will be more exciting for everyone. Again, for the U-series event, I take suggestions for everyone. Secretly, I wish the U-series can happen in Tawau with the Otekers for huge Sabah B.Bass and Siakaps but that would be a huge undertaking and with hundreds of us there, we would overwhelm Tawau town. Nonetheless, I am sure we can still locate a good place in Peninsular Malaysia.

MFN 2010 Professional Fishing T-shirt

This has been long overdue and waited in anticipation – I will also now officially announced the launch of MFN’s 2010 Professional Fishing T-shirt. It is a beautifully designed t-shirt by our fellow forumer, Reezal (who also helped us designed the U-series winning patches). I think it is a wonderful t-shirt - modern, progressive and keeping with the times (and make us look handsome at the same time  ). This will definitely help set the standard of a presentable angler! I think our girlfriend, wife or children will approve how we look in this t-shirt!

I apologized as it took about four years since we had our last t-shirt. Because it took so long to come up with a new t-shirt, I hope you will find this meaningful. This t-shirt will be made with Dry Fit material -- the same material worn by professional sportsman for quick drying and has amazing cooling properties. We put in a lot of effort in this and we hope you can support this, as it helps support MFN and sports fishing to develop. Hopefully, the identity of this t-shirt can help you recognize MFN anglers all over the country.

The t-shirt cost RM59.00 (excluding Citylink courier charges). For our members staying overseas such as the large brotherhood of anglers in Australia and New Zealand, maybe I can combined shipment and send it to a central location. The order form is located here:

The closing date for the order is 13 February 2010.

Other matters

In the next few weeks too, you will see cosmetic changes to the main MFN website. This will be done incrementally to keep up with the times. And since many of our MFN forumers also owns businesses, I will also be seeing what best offer or values I can bring for your benefit.

In the mean time, my friend, I hope you will have a good year ahead and I look forward to your support for the MFN t-shirt and other fishing activities we will plan ahead. I hope you will continue to meet new friends in MFN, be happy with your new fishing adventures and at the same time lead the new generation of anglers in the country.

Tightlines and good fishing. Stay healthy.

Best personal regards,

Vincent

vinnie… any sizes for the baju? as u notice, OH hasnt been fishing much for the pass 2 years, and our sizes have grown significantly! some of the member requested for XXXXXXXL .. i m not sure if there’s such a size.. hehe

[/img]

My dear Johnathan,

It is quite impossible for you to super expand. You guys look fit there considering the exercise you put in: like scuba diving.

The size starts from M and ends with XXXL. It’s in the download form.

Contrary to popular belief, this t-shirt is stretchable. Whether it makes you slim or not, that’s another story

" Contrary to popular belief, this t-shirt is stretchable. " Vincent

This is good - but only if we have a well proportioned body. For those with a beer tummy like some people I know - even the fish will laugh at us, not only the girls.

Is it possible to get some dimensions ? - at least the shoulder to shoulder ? - I get a bit worried with the sizes because they can vary from brand to brand i.e. some brand’s " XL " is anothers " L."

If not, I will wait to see a sample that hopefully will not be too long in coming to KL.

In any case, will be asking for 2 pieces.

The sleeves look very old fashion. The T Shirt will look much smarter if they are made with cap sleeves, shorter sleeves and slanting inwards, just my 2 cents comment. If it is with cap sleeves, I would like to have five of each size.

Mike: the dimension follows back the local t-shirt size (not American size) so the size you usually wear, that’s the best bet. Nonetheless, I have requested from the manufacturer the dimension.

Uncle Thomas: Noted. This is a bit different than the cotton-type shirt. Imagine Berkley Pro fishing t-shirt. We have looked at it in many angles for months before coming up with this.

Apek Cina: Customizing names is a heart attack waiting to happen for me. One name wrong I sweat and now considering we have thousands of forumers it is hard for me to manage. However, the left side is left empty for you to win your U-series patch to sew on to be make your t-shirt different than ours.

Thanks Vincent - away for the next 2 days, but will follow the thread when I get back.

can’t wait to wear it during Chinese New Year. Any possibilities of me getting the t-shirt before the CNY holidays?

Can pick up if I am in Valencia?

if i not mistaken, it was stated by someone ( sorry can’t remember ) in the forum saying that this type of material required to order/purchase 1 size bigger then the ordinary size you wear. for example if you usual wearing size L then you must purchase size XL. is it true? coz of the material of the shirt [:)]

Yeah, can be done. However, I do need the payment for the t-shirt upfront first with the forms because I need to pay the supplier ahead once confirmed order.
