Doc, no thanks to you, for having your best kacang pol on a day I couldn’t be there. But you’ve redeemed yourself by getting the BBQ on. Gives me a chance to show off my blades. Now I have another problem. Which blade should I carry? My EDC? too small. Or the Crocodile Dundee Bowie? too big. The kenduri parang? good for slicing meat BUT not good when it meets bone and I love the meat next to the bone.

What!!! ONLY ONE LEG. That’s enough for me alone so I’ll have to do what RR said plus one more blade. 1 to slice the meat, 1 to keep everyone else away and another neck kiife for close combat.

Doc’s makan-makan functions no need waiter but might need security guard to make sure that everyone gets their turn at the food. You wanna volunteer for that ah?

Think again, this event is at the Selangor Shooting Association! Practically everyone there is packing some sort of weapon; be it guns or blades!

Just come for the food and bring the most important item - good company!

RR, we’re a civilised bunch. The rule is no firearms at the makan area but no mention of folding knives, fixed blades, neck kinves, katanas, boar spears, throwing knives, goloks…
