Hello everyone. I wanted to show you a lure I am working on. It will be a creeper style lure when it’s done. Let me know what you guys think

Now, it’s the hook placement which is crucial at this stage. Where do u intend to place the hook ? Treble at the back ?
Frogs lure tend to be used at weedy areas cos that’s where the tomans and haruans lurk. However, having a treble at the back means it will not be snag proof. U can cut away the hook that’s pointing downwards in the treble but the hook up properties also diminishes.
So u gotta do a trade off…

Thanks guys for the feedback :). BlackBassHunter I plan on putting two dressed treble hooks for the legs in the back and one belly hook. It will not be weedless so I hope it doesn’t get snagged up and lost [:0]

Nice stuff guys, ya I do agree using a double hook be more suitable for weedy area, so guess Jason u’d have to use urs in open area without snags.

also its a prototype, so save the eyes - cost effective [:D]
lost the lure to a toman that snap-off my 20lb braided line on the strike, must b a BIG fish - so does any fish that got away [;)][:D]

since we r at this, need to check w u guys on the finishes
i mix the ‘sparkling thing’ w decvon n apply onton the lure
the finishes is not smooth - its the 1st time i do this
so, do i need to add another coat of devcon or is there other method 2 do this??

I’ve had the same glitter problem. I added it to the epoxy and i had some pieces poking throught the epoxy. I would think another coat of epoxy would cover it up.

I have tried it but only briefly. This one was made for someone so I didn’t want to risk losing it. I have a nice testing area that is snag free. It swam really well! I took about 20 casts to see how it swam before sending it out. I was very happy.
