thanx for the honors vince! but then again, i’m sure there are many more others who are more capable and have more access to information on tackles. oh well, will see how this thread goes then… thanx again!

guys,
wow, a room for tackle reviews! i’ve longed for one since day 1 i joined this forum back in '04!

as the name implies, this room is solely for tackle talk & reviews on certain products which may be of interest to a potential buyer. with that in mind, i would like to reiterate that:

  1. i am not affiliated to any of the big corporates e.g Shimano, Daiwa or Pure Fishing etc and do not endorse the products out of blind faith

  2. i do not own millions of rods, reels, lures etc to be an expert on the matter at all to begin with

  3. information given are given based on own experience, published articles from the internet, experiences from tackleshop owner-friends, friends-of-friends encounters with certain products etc

i certainly hope that in here, you guys can discuss on tackles comfortably, to help you decide on your next purchase by hearing out the pros and cons etc… to suit you, the angler, the potential customer

as an angler myself, we are always out for a good bargain. the aim here is to try to minimize the amounts of ‘lemons’ if you get what i mean.

there is no standard format on the reviews as yet, and u guys are free to post whichever way that befits ur style of writing.

hopefully here we will be able to uncover some myths, expose some truth, shed some light, debunk certain perceptions…crossing my fingers as i know things may turn controversial around here!

again, a warm welcome, and happy fishing!

WAR: it’s not about who’s RIGHT, it’s about who’s LEFT

im newbie in this ‘hanyir’ world..

can u suggest me the ‘starter kit’ for all beginners like me?

any kit from sea to fresh water fishing..

cheers!!

Congratulations!</font id=“size4”></font id=“purple”>

As this is a place especially reserved for the review of fishing tackles and it is not specified whether the posting is reviewing or is inviting for some reviews, I am going to start the first one with the an invitation to review.

There you go - Daiwa Steeze.

It is a reel that I have been admiring and saving up hard earned money to get near to it. But due to distractions from various competiting reels, the idea of getting it has been postponed time and again.

So, may I open a new thread, please…
