Thinking of using liquid acrylic paints as there is a bigger spectrum of colors available compared to rattle cans. If one is to use liquid acrylic, will it come off when we apply the Devcon 2 ton epoxy as the final coat? Precautions necessary?
the acrylics will work. but some colors will fade out quite quickly.

Cheesehead,
Appreciate some elaboration on the subject. What do you mean that some colours would fade? Shouldn’t the top coating seal the colours in? Or is it that some colours fade due to UV, etc?
Ya UV fading is what Cheese meant RR & some acrylic colors just fade over time even staying in closet. Good arylic colors means major $ as well go & see the range in artist supply shops. Not all colors are made the same. So for me lacquer paints are still the best.
Yeap: seen those spray bottle for watering plants (nozzle adjust from fine spay to a steady stream) which u need to pump 1st b4 u spray, that can work. Swap the holding bottle to a smaller one containing ur diff colors, or one spay per color if u find them cheap enough. Not the best of solutions but can work in a pinch.

Lapala sifu,
Comments on plastic model kit paints? Dont know if they are enamel, though. If used with airbrush, how do I clean the nozzle after use? Do I use turpentine or some other spirits? Comments most welcome!
RR Lapala has the answer on the acrylics fading out mine lasted about 6-8 months depending upon color. Purple was the worst with florescent orange second worst.
here in the states most model paints are enamel so they will work fine. to clean your brush acetone, mineral spirits, and lighter fluid will work. be careful though as all are eextreemly flamable.
