Pantai Kelanang

Hi Guys,

Thinking of heading to Pantai Kelanang (between Banting & Morib) for some surf casting this weekend. Just wondering if anyone has been there and can share some tips and insights about that place.

Hi Arvinm,

Sorry to inform you the place is lousy for surf fishing, hv tried fishing here many time.

The sea bed is very muddy and shallow plus thousand kilometer of net surrounding the beach. Advise you not to waste your time over there. I think it is better you fish at Morib during big water only, at least can hooks some gelama’s and baby senagin if you lucky.

Thanks for your pointers abt fishing at Pantai Kelanang.
I guess I’ll hv to change location.
Would be able to let me know which part of Morib beach would be good for Surfcasting this Sunday (big water).
If not Morib, then I might try my luck near the replica ship at Tanjung Harapan [:D]

This weekend is good time to fish at Morib it BIG Water time saturday peak 5pm at 4.22m. Normal me port behind the padang golf, most probably I going back to banting this saturday, long time tak balik kampong.

Hi arvinm,

Yes, good luck with your surf fishing stint with Onn. He has got the world’s best tackles with him and I’m sure you can learn and share much experience with him.

I will be doing field casting with him in the morning at Bukit Mahkota, hope we could all have a fishing rondezvous one of these days.

…but beware! associating with Onn could end you up buying too many rods and reels…just like me…he he.

No hal go for it, we can start fishing around 4pm to 7pm subject there no thunder storm kalu there is tomorrow we have to cancel the trip la coz it very dangerous using long rod especially during ribut petir, one can die kena lightning.

Will cal you once I reach Banting.

Yeah, I hope to learn many things from BroOnn.
It will be my 1st attempt at SurfCasting & very eager to learn everything [:D]
But got small problem la… my immune system against ‘racun’ very low la… sure I gonna get a bad case SurfCasting Fever [:(][:D]

I’m very excited abt fishing at Morib tomorrow! Praying hard (and using all my ilmu sihir) so it will be a beautiful clear skies tomorrow.

I’m from Klang, should take me abt 1 hour (mebbe less) to get to Banting town. We can arrange modus operandi tomorrow la…

Oh.. 1 question! What kinda bait should I get ready before heading to Morib?
