Penang Sifus: The coastal road near Queensbay

Sifus there… I will be back during CNY. As i stay in Bayan Lepas, I am very near to Queensbay Mall. I was wondering if there were any Tarpon spots there? I might go try my luck if they are there.

As far as I know, no tarpons here. Try the Jelutong coast near Sg Pinang, if you are lucky you can strike siakap or kerapu too. If you are really keen on tarpons then go to Sungai Rambai on mainland or Balik Pulau (another Sg Pinang).

Actually, near the Queensbay mall there is a very big drain that goes out to the ocean, it actually has tarpon (*hint- the drain is very dirty). Try using small prawn, probably size 6 or 4, the tarpon there very small. Probably around 1 lbs or less.

Fish slime on the hands = good day fishing!!!

Met a few longkangers… so far no complains about their smell! haha
Brother Firetiger does smell abit like the hospital tho. [:P]

Back in penang already. Sungai Ara home. Free to fish!!! My fly rod survived the flight. Phew!

Absolutely, they are quite filthy, but of course dont ‘makan’ the fish! Let it go…
Yippie.. I am also back in Penang, Chinese New Year mood in all high swing!
