Powder paint is used for painting metal lures. You will need a heat gun to heat the lure. A fluid bed (which puffs up the powder) makes application of a single color very simple and fast. An oven to bake the paint to rock hard.
Individual details can be added using a small artists brush (tapping not brushing).
The fluid bed can be home made, so need not cost much.

powdercoat vs polyurethane paint. i wonder which one is better since the powder is also polyurethane?

thanks dave..
i’m not DIYers bro…
post the link to show the outcome of the process..
yeah, since the metal is electrifies on with positive charge and the powder is on the
negative so that they stick…
then the powder is keep in an oven to heat them up so itss become permanent..
Sorry Hazadin, I did not see your link at the bottom of the post. I thought you were asking about powder painting.
Cadman (in the link) is a regular contributor to TU (tackleunderground.com) and is a master of powder coating. The method that he employes does not involve electrostatic equipment. Purely dipping and dusting techniques. Electrostatic powder coating would involve a powder spray gun and an electrostatic charge applied to the work piece. This would be good for single colors and thousands of jigs, but no good if you want to get creative with just a few jigs.
