phill bro..can I jont it??? please put my name in your list…thank’s…

Cool! Finally something to look forward to since it;s so near my place hehehe… n also all the KL folks

Paichen bro, i think anyone willing to fork out rm10, which is extremely cheap for any reason, n willing to learn baitcasting, the door is open to everyone. Just be there at the said time n date n we’ll meet up n chat like old friends edi hahahha

Hooi bro, i think the venue choosen is FV for many reason, ample space, environment nice, food n other basic necessity are well catered. N also suitable platform to conduct such clinic without hassle

I seriously do hope this project would be a success, how often u get to learn something for rm10 plus free meal n a casting plug? RM3 for plug, food would just be RM7, wat the heck! i normally dine in FV, including today also RM20+ edi(but dun expect steam baung n tilapia lahhhh hahahhaha)!!! Give a man a fish n he’ll feed for a day, teach a man to fish he can feed anyday, but this is downright ridiculous, go kindergarden tuition also need $$$ but this tutoring is almost free to me

Needless to say i’ll be there to meet up with old n new friends alike, pls be there if you’re free, would be a blast, just like last time.

I only have 13 years of fishing experience, so must beri tunjuk ajar!

TJS,

Hooi bro, Penang definitely. How not to support my friends… the longkang gang… will definitely do.

Fish & Fish yet catch & release.

Paichen bro… please come. Bring the whole GKC as well. A BC Clinic (or any other clinic except for the one we go to when we are not feeling well) is not just to learn BC. That is only part of it. We do it also so that anglers can come together, make new friends, learn new skills, share knowledge, have tea, etc.

Come have fun with us bro.

I would think once you teach a man to fish, he will disappear for most of the weekends !!!

Good initiative, finally i have the opportunity to learn casting, rather than through the self-learning route.

How do I sign up? Must I have a Abu casting reel only then I can sign up?

knht bro… We would seriously hope that you have an Abu casting reel, Abu or Berkley rod, Berkley or Spiderwire or Stren line, Berkley hooks, etc… seriously we hope that much… hehehe… But if you don’t have them it is ok. You can come and join us, learn baitcasting, and have fun.

Do bring along your tackle should you decide to stay longer and fish (payable to pond owner). We will bring along a few extra BC sets for the clinic.

Oh ya, I have the Spiderwire Code Red on my reel

Thanks, will try my best not to miss this event. How do I make payment? On that day itself when turn up?

Btw, do you bring in Abu Premier 2010 model? Can’t seem to find it in tackle shops.

bro tjs, somehow i think all oldschool ppl think like that..u must be related to “that” group =P

“Give a man a fish n he’ll feed for a day, teach a man to fish he can feed anyday”

u buy a RM50 lure, then expect to catch a RM50 fish? and tabao it home because u have spend the money on fishing so u wanna do justice and say money well spent? we have to do something about this oldschool mindset…

kill the friggin’ netters

Yup i go there more to meet up with kakis than anything la, even on normal days i dun go for FV unless friends wanna

Tutor? far away from it, still much needed to learn…

Phil bro, hopefully PF dun mind just a part of the setup is from purefishing la, or else many couldnt join already hehe… i will just bring along my deformed fantasista coupled with a dinosaur morrum spooled with fireline n vanish fluoro as leader la if necessary hahahaha

i do not support catch n take all u can, neither am i a purist as i’ve mentioned before countless time…

rest assured that i do not take the above quote quite literally, anyway it’s instead a classical proverb that suggest u learn something n gain something out of it in return. I do think it suits my intention in supporting more to learn BC especially such platform is so gracefully done by Purefishing, n being almost free especially the teaching part, missing such event would be quite wasteful.

well for more information i have copy n paste the following from a website tat i think explain this proverb well, just in case they’re others tat misunderstood or don’t understand what it means, here goes:

It is a proverb:

“Give a man a fish and he won’t starve for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he won’t starve for his entire life.”

Regrettably, the origin of this quote is unknown, although it is generally cited as being Chinese. Over the years, the quote has been misattributed to Confucius, Lao Tzu, Laozi, and Guan Zhong.

Answer:
This is a Chinese Proverb. “If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime.” It is better to teach someone how to do something than to do it for them. Giving someone a fish is good for the short term, but it is better to teach them how to do it so that in the long term they can take care of themselves. For example, a mother could cook for her children, but if she never teaches them to cook, they will always be dependent on her for meals. If she teaches them how to cook they will be able to take care of themselves in the long term.
