Rapala sportsmen classic got 5foot6 casting rod
btw may i ask why u need such short rod for?
I only have 13 years of fishing experience, so must beri tunjuk ajar!
if you like to know ‘a little’ about rods..
THE LONGER THE ROD..THE GREATER THE MECHANICAL IN CASTING…
UL…here it is…TENKARA…
none of RAPALA rods ever produced suited to ‘this’ term actually…

I do a lot of fishing in a boat surrounded by mangrove..so..sometimes the surrounding can be quite constricted… So, having a long rod (6’ and above)alone is not practicable.. a shorter rod is easy to use and more accurate in constricted area. [:)]
btw.. i found my dream rod… Super Basser by D.A.M…5’6" length 8-15lb poundage…excellent match with my scorpion xt.. will give it a try this Saturday..yeehaaa! [8D]

bro claypot,
i used to think 5’6" rod is the best for restricted area and getting more accuracy.
It is not anymore, a 6’ rod can be as accurate and still able to use in restricted area. You just have to add more casting technics to yourself and you will be amazed how easy and how accurate it can be. [:D]
I already have sportmen classic 6’ rod and i found that it is really great for casting in a restricted area too…but man…i really must experience it myself before i can decide which one is the best for me…my mind and my gut keeps telling me to try a shorter rod… and i did…and like u said, it’s all about the casting techniques…lesson learned..hehe..guess i have to improve my casting techniques..huhu

Hi guys,
Slight delay due to delay of Fuji components but we did some slight cosmetic modifications. I will try to post some previews here [:D]
Back from Rapala fishing seminar! Great casting technique Fred! Will try to learn it for mangrove fishing :-)… by the way…the UL rod is Rapala SNOW? I have hold the Rod during the seminar…hehehe…but i didn’t manage to see any differences between the Rapala Sportmen’s classic other than it’s color, handle and reel seat. Maybe the graphite material and ring guide is more high-end?
