RE: Melbourne Chater

A few of my friends want to go for a charter in Winter Season and i have told them there isnt much fish and slow in fishing in winter season.

but they wouldnt listen and pull me for the fishing trip and paid for my charter trip.

So we went up last thursday and we were going for some parrot fish before some shark fishing that day…

This boatman brought us to a reef for parrot fish.. he told us there will be a lot of parrot fish around there.

We went there.. less than 1.5 hour, we caught like more then 40 parrot fish but we only keep some and release the rest..

I can say, every Minute there will be one of us landed a parrot fish…

here are the photos…

Here are some more photos of the trip… Enjoy!

Mate,
you’re back - gone quiet for a while. How do you cook them? They turn soft and mushy when steamed!

Carry a rod and speak softly.

Parrot can be grilled over charcoal with the scales on. Or seasoned wrapped in foil with butter and placed on wood or charcoal embers. I like to wrap in banana leaf and bakar.

Izzy,
thanks for the tip - will try it next time I catch one. We used to throw them back as no one wants to eat them.

Carry a rod and speak softly.
