Soon it will be coming back and this time it will be at Tow Foo pond in Kundang [:D] and it will be as usual be FREE!

and this is what RAINBOWRUNNER remembered from the previous “event”

“O yes, I remember THAT night! It was a night of BBQ lamb, whiskies, beer,landlord’s fried beehoon, Spyderco’s and last but not least; Elziz’s hip gyration!”

Mr D has graciously agreed to provide free drinks to all ye who come (Air Haram is as BYO)

Everyone else must pot luck at least one dish eatable by all mankind [:D]

The date will be set by Mr D himself upon discussion with his counterpart, Mr Wong Fei Hung

Real kacang pol at US$45 per kilo is just too good to be fed to the fishes, better to feed to my fellow MFNers

But out of curiosity, I might try one or two beans on my next trip

Doc and the rest,

I have spoken to Wong and he says hold on for the moment. There’s some uncompleted work and he is not ready to hold a party as yet. His underground bunker is 60 percent complete and the canopy needs re-doing.

So, this gives you guys more time to plan your dishes.

For the Roast Lamb, can anyone contact Gempak? He used to sponsor the Tender Lambs previously.

Have not seen or heard from Auslan since the last makan-makan.

Not too worry, Mr Wong has many free range chickens running around. We can organise a “hunt” with Doc in charge of the “festivities”[:D]

That secret link brought back lots of memories:
Nick Ooi of Tacklebox draws me a map for me on how to go to TowFoo.
A look at Wong Besok tells me I should not mess with him.
Mejor was sharing about angling to a “potential” TV host on angling.
Learned whatever you read in fishing magazines does not always work.
Got poisoned by the resident pro - hook, line, sinker and a few new reels and rods.
Finally met AzizDaud in person (used to see him in newspapers about Elvis).

Then I got drunk…

I think it was also MFN’s first unofficial dinner, correct? Dinner was better cause it was cooler and we can take our time. Yes, why not again! Aziz, how much would a roast lamb cost? Maybe a few of us can chip for this. I am sure we all have no problem to group sponsor this.

There is an Arab restaurant in Sri Petaling above THE ROYAL KURMA, the roast lamb plus nasi bryiani goes for RM800

That Arab restaurant does have good food. Are you suggesting we go there or ask them to cater for us at Tow Foo?

One lamb of about 15 kg in my wild guess would be around RM 300.00 But with the hungry ‘wolves’, we may need 3 lambs. While that may not be a problem, the preparation and roasting takes a long time. It may take up to 6 hours to roast and it needs constant turning. The last time around, we had Auslan Gempak to sponsor the lamb and a few volunteers to season and roast it.

After spending all that blood, sweat and tears, the volunteers did not even get to taste the lamb. The guys rushed like pirahnas and only bones were left within minutes!

So, any bright ideas?

We sure want the lamb in. So if it is 3 lambs without sponsorship from Auslan, we’re looking at RM900. Did Wong did everything last time or for this round, is it better we get caterers to do it?
