I went there yesterday…

(specimen of what i got in RMC Haunted Lake)
Weapon : Ikan Tomman 5 feet 5 rod , Osprey RLZ400 and Surecatch 30lbs tali
Ammo : 5cm Eupro popper 10cm Eupro Popper
Storyline : Back from my brothers’s house with a stomach filled with lemang and ketupat, at 1530H i decided to go for a catch…called my other kakis but none responded, yeah yeah…hari raya napping so call…
so i’m all by myself…one man show…changed to fishing gear, grabbed my stuff and hasted to the ‘tasik’…with my old celica. About 2 minutes driving, the ‘tasik’ greets me with the sound of nature…bird chirping…‘siamangs’ noising…etc…sound of nature…I usually cast at the brighter side of the lake…as there is two parts…the other tend to be much more shady with difficulties ( one can easily throw their babies up-stuck in the trees ) but experienced caster deals it well there…
So i quickly grab on my rod and matched the 10cm eupro popper ( three hook ) casting for an hour but no snapping..not at all…so i decided not to stay longer as i thought that maybe ‘empty here’…and so goes the next round…THE LAKES SHADIEST PART…
5 minutes walk and there i was…i sense no one was there since the day ( maybe i am the only one whom gone fishing on hari raya haji today ) and this makes the fish totally untouched…wow, i shouted to my self…this is my chance…
The Shady Part has a number of fish variety..yeah as well of difficulties such as low canopy trees and bushes of dead tree in the water…but here i am, standing with the same popper from the other part of the lake…
To make it short…after the 24th cast, comes the big blurp!! i immediately slowen the casting and a shadow by the size of an adults arm follows and there was 7 snapings but none really hit the popper…gosh !! i yelled…and at last the popper came to its papa…Suddenly at a distance of 20 metres from the bank where i stood…there are boilings…yikes…those are baby tommans…they got closer and i cast towards the opposite direction…and the 10 cm popper just came accross the casting line…hel yeah the shoal grouped around my popper and attacked it vicously…one hit the hook, i lifted the rod a bit and the catch was the size of 7 inches long…i decide to put it back and its free to swim again…
The boiling of the baby tommans are still at bay…i followed it and as it reached an area with leaned-tree bushes the shoal suddenly break-up into two…sensing something big underneath, i cast towards the target area…and BLURRRP !! it was so so huge and it bent my rod towards the water…adrenaline rush fills my artery and veins…quickly i tried to calm my self but damned..! this thing is super fast ! i couldn’t do nothing…but to reel and pull…my osprey reel screams !! then, i tried to move a few steps backwards to flat ground…the fish was still strugling down-neath…wargh !!
So i decided that before the ‘thing’ would swim into fallen trees, i got to cut short the distance so i will be able to just draged it to the bank…with FULL powwer i pulled and reeled…though i can hardly reel now… my hearts praying, SUDDENLY…TASSSSS! SO LOUD AND CLEAR…the 30 lbs Surecath line had just…zapped…and i stood still with shivers all aver my body…and all that happens in only 2 minutes…
Slowly i reeled and there it was…the absence of my 10 cm double hooked Eupro Popper…wow…whutever it was … it was sure big…
So what happens next ? Yess, there was three more fights but not as vicous as the first one…just the ammo this time was a smaller 5 cm Eupro popper…the last snap hit was quite interesting but only the fish’s scale by the size of a fingernail manage to be shored…
It is getting dark..by 1855H…i packed my stuf with the promise that i’ll be back with more complete arsenal.
but the mystery is, what fish was that ?
end of report…
Sorry less pics…it started raining and i left my mobile in the car…
Tony Stark..What da … !!
