Do you have any baitcasting reels for wild toman, baramundi, barracuda, sebarau and etc?
Actualy im lookng for a reel rod to be match with, what is your best suggestion and recomemdation?
Can you please give some review to this few Item?
Abu Revo Skeet & stx but made in china too many defect and problem after sometime?
Banax Armis 600/ Azenis?
Seahawk Bass 103?
Shimano Culcata/conquest ofcause the best choice but too expensive
Daiwa ITO and Steez
Abu Moron many defect
What others best in town?
Okuma?
Other low profile of shimano give me problem

PHILLIP, if you are targeting fishes from 10 to 60kg, you would need better equipments than those you have mentioned above. Looks like you already have spent a lot of money on those equipments which I think are quite adequate if you are fishing around coastal area for species around 10 to 20kg.

I suggested PE6-10, BECAUSE YOU DID MENTION you may want to venture into the ANDAMAN AND THREE KINGS.

As for toman and barramundi I would suggest you go for anyone of the Abu Revos, they are proven and reliable in terms of price. Of course, you may consider other brands like Shimano and Daiwa. One man’s meat is another’s poison.

Abu revos which model?
How about bc round type?
Abu rocket series?
I do have many friend got problem wit the revos range and end up like old junk in the garage.
but i personally bliv the round bc is diff except the new morum also got many defect

andaman seas only have small fishers around cause many thai fishing boats during last year trip.
And all fisher r only tengiri and red snapper are the majority catch.
the bigger catch only reach 16kgs for tengiri,gt only around 12kgs and 7kgs red snapers.

A well versed angler can choose any of the Revo models, that is to say if he knows how to optimize the usage of the reel. Commonly the problems is with the anglers, not the reels.
The round Abu Rocket is also good except the drag is not as good as the STX, INSHORE OR TORO if you want to hassle with the bigger species. The new Morum is about three times the cost of the Cheaper version, and that again it depends very much on the efficiency of the anglers.

As you just said, then those equipments that you have are quite sufficient. if you intend to venture further like BURMA BANK, then you need heavier sets.

You did the correct thing by sending the reel back.
I do not have the Morrum, all sold out.

I have used ABU AMBASSEDUER for more than 30 years, and I can safely say that they are good value for the price in the present market. The Record or the Rocket are all good performance reels with warranty & good after sales service.

The ABU 6500 CS ROCKET [CHROMED BODY] is suitable for light medium jigging bottom fishing, trolling and drifting for sailfish, this reel can hold 300m of 20lb good braid.

Dear uncle Thomas,
I was waiting to get a PE6-8 TS rod from u cos my financial still not stable yet and dun have any trip till after this monson season in Dec’09.
When a trip is confirm then I will auto came to u.
How do u think of the Abu Hornet 10-30lbs 6’8" Bait casting rod for budget and value over performance?
I want to cast lure frm 12g-40g in both salt and fresh water.
Minnow, pencil, popper, deep diving, sinking, rubber jerking, spoons & spinners and etc.
If not then what the best recommendation for budget price around RM300?
hehe, TQ
