the saltiga series are a great series of reels. quite revolutionary when it 1st surfaced i would say. it gave a lot of ‘traditional’ reels a run for its money as it was not only smaller & lighter, but more powerful & robust as well.
i myself don’t own a saltiga (would love to though) but have friends who use them. and they love it!
currently with the crazy exchange rate, the prices a bit exorbitant, but if u can get it at the old pricing then it will be a good buy.
the line cap. of the z30 is quite massive, and spooling it up to the brim with quality PE line can be almost 1/4-1/3 of the reel’s price!

What is the old pricing? I intend to use it for jigging. Tried aome land casting with it and was surprise that it’s not too hard to do so without char bee hoon after some adjustments. I heard that the Z series are the Jap version while those without the Z is for America n International.</font id=“purple”>

the Z models if not mistaken have a sealed gearbox compared to regular saltigas. also got more CRBBs…
there is also a special australian model called the saltiga extreme which looks like the new saltist/sealine design, but in red colour.
