seafishing Malaysia for newbies

Hi guys,

Im finally coming back to Malaysia at long last from Sydney. Its been a long 5 to 6 years away.

I am interested in heading out via boat.. Any suggestions on tekongs?

Peninsular malaysia. Im assuming since the monsoon season is upon the east coast of rompin etc etc its not good to head there…

Any good tekong around the Malacca Straits? and where are good fishing spots?

Im very new to sea fishing in Malaysia and most of my gear is towards light spinning for Bonitos and heavy jigging gear for Kingfish..

u can do jigging, popping & bottom. Mostly GTs, ang chor, grouper, sail & etc. The best boatman would be GT chaser ah ho(3days 2 night)but there is another i am looking for called tuna2 ah cong which is good for short trip.

If 2 days 1 night not so bad.. 3 days 2 nights abit hectic.. non the less.. the experience will be awesome!

i’m trying to do it a day trip to jarak or sunvista ship wreck on 20th or 21th jan. Currently i found a nice boat tat charge me $1700 to P.Jarak or $2000 to sunvista wreck. Hopefully i can get another 3-4 more pax to share the cost. Non profit trip, just cost & boat sharing. Anyone keen just leave me a PM with ur contact number.
