u can say its a sinking jerk bait
the bait is 70mm long, very slow sinking n wobbles during fall
shape from jelutong wood, painted n slip-on with Mylar tube (bought from fly tying shop)
its a ‘lazy-man’ lure [:D] - cast it out n let it fall slowly to the bottom, retrieve slack line, lightly rip the rod and then let the bait falls slowly again
hv been pretty successful on PB and Pacu - all taken during the fall
still wondering what makes the bait tick - the action or the shine of the Mylar tube [?]

Ahh no wonder the scales look so familiar. Good job, your trips to Nick’s place sure paid off very well here. Not gonna add belly hook? I find lures of these kind fishy like to hit the soft tummy to stunt the “prey” or hit it head 1st, a belly hook would surely increase hook up rates.
