S'pore Couple Fishing At IT Monsters DAY 2.

Sorry guys for the late CR for this IT Monsters trip.
I went upcountry to visit my in-law during the weekend, he was not feeling well.NNo time to finish up the CR. My in-law may get another 6 mths more to live so my wife need to spend more time with him.(liver cancer) :?

In facts, I just came back from Boon Ma with another S’pore fishing couple today. Fishes were good and bites rate needless to say superb.

Met this Thai pro guide Louis, a close relative and cousin of Boon Ma boss. He walked over to say hi to me. We chatted abit but more importantly he complaint that his cousin , the Boon Ma boss is not very happy that someone posted his personal H/P in the forum. He has been getting unnecessary calls from strangers.

In future, he will not entertain such nonsense from anyone. Whatever you do, kindly get permission from the owner himself whether he agree to what you’re doing. He is a busy man. Thanks you guys !!

Without delay, here the CR for the my last week IT Monsters trip with S’pore couple. :wink:

On the DAY 2, I brought them to the famous IT Monsters (Predators)lake to fish for their dream fish. This is also their first time fishing at the Predators lake.Since Simon doesn’t like luring that much, he opted for whole day baiting.He paid 7000 bahts for 2 rods fishing alone while his wife paid for another 1 extra rod @ 3500 bahts. The weather was abit weird that day, there was a sudden morning fogs and sudden drop in temp. I’ve to work double hard that day. Running up & down. :?

Here are the score board of that day catches.
Not bad despite the poor weather.
Total 21 catches. :slight_smile:

1)Giant Arapaima - 4 landed.
Size 60kg, 15kg, 16kg & 12kg.

2)Redtails Catfish.- 2 landed.
Size 18kg & 15kg.

3)Aligator gar- 4 landed.
Size 8kg,7kg,5kg & 5kg.

  1. Pacu- 4 landed.
    Size 6kg, 4kg, 4kg,3kg

  2. Asia Redtails- 3 landed.
    Size 7kg, 6kg & 6kg.

  3. Catfish- 1 anded.
    Size 7kg.

7)Redtail Tiger- 1 landed.
Size 7kg.

  1. Patin- 2 landed.
    Size- 5kg & 6kg.

I was cut during handling one of these redtail catfishes . :?

The arapaima will not release immediately after landed but keep in a confinement net for further observation before releasing back the pond the next folowing day. :wink:

Enjoy with your tremendous reports, pics and v clips. I always enjoyed and spent times to look at it all.

Referring to Arapaima …there is a wild arapaima in a coal mining lake at Batu Arang. Still considered wild after accidently released to this Coal Mining lake at Batu Arang by a towkey many years ago.

The local folk at Batu Arang told me that there are about 4 big size at length of 4 feet.. An Indian young guy, known as Tiger who always at the lake fishing for Patins, he told me there are many kind of fishes were in the lake (accidently release) after this Towkey have several kind of fishes flocked together in one net farm at the edge of the lakes have torn out net and all the fishes are set free. He is so eager to gather many kinds of fishes and the time the net broke out when he added the baung and catfish. The big house and the farm is still there and I can clarified to you that this is not a story maker.

I and friends have tried fishing at the lake few time with no luck,but no doubt…there are ppl with big catch of Patins about 8 -12 kgs and some catfish . The rest of the fishes earnestly believe being hooked up long time ago. .he lake are so big and only at one corner we can throw lines the rest are full of obstruction, likes trees, people private properties and water weeds.

I am seeking your tips on the baits for patin and arapaima similar to what u used at IT Monsters

Try using kampong fish & berly more on the spot you’re fishing. :slight_smile:
