Suggestion on places to fish on public transport?

Hi im from Ipoh currently studying in HELP University College Damansara Kuala Lumpur. I love fishing just that I have only one friend who likes fishing and the only one with transport around but most of the time he is not free. I have been wondering where can i go fishing using public transport eg. bus, LRT, KTM, ect.

The only place I can go fishing now is the lake near Taman Paramount Putra LRT station.

Im staying near my college in Pusat Bandar Damansara, the immigration area which u make your passport. I normally take the bus from my place to KLCentral to get to other places. Do not like to take the bus to bangsar though it’s cheaper coz it’s takes quite a while for the bus to come compare to the KLCentral one.

I’ll be quite free for this month since my semester is only starting on FEB18 will be goin back Ipoh during tis CNY so will be fishing there too =3 so anyone free which i can join them for fishing juz ring me up and i’d gladly come join u, reacheable by public transport or if u hav a transport and u dont mind giving me a lift i’d appreciate it. I can even wait at any LRT stations or places which is reacheble by public transport i dont mind at all^^.

If anyone who like to join me wit or w/o transport, in the lake near Taman Paramount i’d be happy to bring them there but do inform me earlier so i can prepare =3

Haruan [Common Snake Head]
Red Devil Cichlid
Talapia [Commond Cichild mix breed]
Marble Goby [Ketutu]
Red Claw Crayfish
Pacu
Carp
Giant gouramy [Kalui]
Plecos [Bandaraya]
Tortoise [Kura-Kura]
Eel [Belut]
etc.
i dont know wat else is lurking down that lake since many ppl release alien fishes inside… =.=;

[BELOW] This is what u can get in the pond. It’s called Red Devil. It’s aggresive and cannot keep more than one in an aquarium =.=;

[BELOW] Red Claw Crayfish i caught on prawn hook + beef. U dont hav to particularly use beef, they are one greedy crayfish and will eat anything edible and meety, i use beef because it stays on the hook longer so i can feel them eating.

[BELOW] Biggest Talapia i hav caught in my life =.=; weighted around 2kg++ and hell of a job for taking the pic wit my w810i phone with timer myself…

you could try the Jogging Lake at Subang Jaya. Just take the KTM Kommuter to the Subang Jaya Station and thereafter a short walk there. The fly-guys are there most evenings as well so you can meet a few more fishos.

vincent-> erm u juz gave me the name of the person witout any means of contact =.=;?? how do i email him witout his email? neways ya there is pb in taman paramount. I normally fish for the small fish here and then hook them on a big hook and let them swim around =D…

Right now enjoy college because it will pass you very fast and then once you are working, it will be forever until you are 55 or like Rainbowrunner, ends at 45.

Man, I wish I was back in college…

hi kagerou, i’m staying very near to tmn paramount too. been there jogging a few times but nvr try out fishing there. how’s the PB there? have u tried using lure to fish them?

jav226-> oh u hav been jogging there? hmm ya i hav tried wit lure it does not work. Normally i would go there to fish for the small fish then only hook it to a big hook and let it swim =D erm sometimes while i wuz fishing for the small fish using some home made dough u will get a PB also… i dunno wat makes them strike at my dough… mayb i wuz moving it often mistaken my dough for a fish haha.. will post some of my pics here soon =D

max_cjs0101-> hmm i juz reach ipoh today at 7pm just now. Will be goin back to KL this Thursday because i’ll be goin down to port dickson with my friend for another fishing trip XD! the sign says must have “Fishing Pass” in order to fish…

oh yaya actually i did not bother.. hav been fishing there for quite some time already haven seen them come even once =.=; but i heard rumors that they do come once in a while so keep a look out if u don’t hav pass but neways the pass only cost about RM10++ only tat’s what i heard from the locals there=3

if u are in ipoh then i can fetch u.. if KL then u’ll hav to go by public transport le… coz i go paramount by bus and lrt also haha…

Caught and release this toman at Paramouth on 1st Mar 08.

at first 2 elders casting at the fries surface area…
slowly coming to my spot. they didn’t get it and start cursing and
smashing the water…JOKERS!!

Then I started to cast, the fries also moving away from my spot and
at my last cast…WHAM!!!..got it!!..YES!!!..

The 2 fellas curse even more and start pissing off…
I was thinking…hahaha, serve you right.
This kind of behaviour will not get you anything..
for me,…yay!!..took a pic and release it back to catch another day.
