Surfcasting in the Klang Valley 2010

A locally based foreigner friend of mine is interested in surfcasting and surf fishing. Can anyone please advise if there are any surf fishing/surfcasting get together for practice on weekends in the Klang Valley that he can join? Thanks!

Hi fish4fun,

The MSC team always does distance casting practice every Saturday and Sunday morning at Saujana Putra and we do organise mini comp accasionally and the major yearly event which is the MSC Distance Casting Comp, this 2010 would probably be sometime in NOv or Dec (we just had the comp for 2009 on 19/12/2009).

Do let me know if your friend is really keen, we welcome anyone to join us … really.

Hi aznaff, many thanks for your quick response. My friend from UK is really interested as he is also a surf caster back home. Will bring him one of these Sat or Sun to Saujana Putra as this week end he is in Bangkok. BTW, where is Saujana Putra please?

Normally by 9am we are there.

Thanks bro. Where exactly in Saujana Putra are you guys? Is there any road names or nearest road name next to the practice field? Or can we see you guys once we have passed the Saujana Putra toll? Any landmarks like near a school, supermarket, etc?

Bro 4,

Saujana Putra is a new township and it is still under development. To go Saujana, you have to take Elite Highway going to KLIA. If you come from KESAS highway going to KLIA, 1st you will find Exit to Putra Height, from this point to Saujana Exit it is approx. 4km (on ur righthand side)and there a Signboard at the highway. Once you take the Saujana exit, pay ur toll after you will find a roundabout, take 3pm turn, just after this you can see a Single Storey Terrace houses on ur left and just after this houses you can see the casting court (left). The court is a fill construction land not turf.

Dude, We are fishing this weekend but the following weekend(6th&7th feb) shouldn't be a problem.

Hi guys,
Don’t forget our rendezvous this weekend. We would normally arrive there by 9am. Remember after the Saujana Putra toll take the roundabout 3 o’clock proceed until you reach a bend and you will see a blue avanza(aznaff’s car) on your left which is where our casting court is. My handphone again 0126695126 if you need futher instructions don’t hesitate to call.
