Went there with some of me mates last August.
Enjoyed ourselves immensely.

my very first toman (wot a fight for a juvey …!) in temenggor … come to think of it … first toman ever [:D]


Simon helped me land this while I was … ahem … away … please excuse the … erm .. topless look, very, very hot it was [:p]

Andy’s toman - all were released but for Andy’s biggest of (2-3) 2kg+

No pix of food since it wasn’t our first time there … [:D]
Food was good and the Nepali cook was quite adept at churning out steamboat, fried and steamed fish, fried mee and rice, spring onion ginger stir fried fish, soups, etc.
Conti/local breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner were covered.

After dinner, baung fishing came into play for some as the rest watched tv, rested and chatted.

my very first baung … who cares about size? [:D]

bigger baung of 500-800gm were caught but not on camera … [:p]
evidence was subsequently disposed off by simple steaming [^]

dinner plate sized lampam … too picky/smart to be fished [B)]

must have groupie pic before leaving [:D]

all in all a good trip [^]

CnR, bro.
Only the biggest toman of about 2.2kg was dressed and prepped for dinner. The only one throughout the trip, in fact.

Even back in 2002/2003, we had a choice of fishing wherever we moored or we followed the outboarders.

Outboards provide better opportunities at toman and sebarau.

Where the houseboat is now, there are gouramis more than 18" in length, dinner plate-sized lampams, sebaraus averaging 18" in length, baung, etc.

We are encouraged to pay a bit more for the outboards if we want keepers.

hi,

kami guna cacing tanah, carp kecil, lampam kecil, cengkerik, keli.

toman ikut lure tapi u-turn pada detik terakhir.
cacing tanah and cengkerik mujarab untuk leaf fish.
bait fish dan cacing tanah walaupun dapat baung, sangkut banyak kali, putus tali - mesti tahu tempatnya.
keli ngan lampam dapat toman.
sawit belum buahkan hasil lagi.
