Congrats to all you guys with the big catch. Something to share with you haruan hunters. I came acorss this haruan(bigger than all the haruan posted in this forum)while fishing at a pond in Puchong. Sad to say this haruan is already dead with half body eaten by maggots. i believe that it could have try to cross over to another pond but got stuck half way through.cos no angler would have left behind with such a big catch.

Bujuk 8kg, never even heard the size and even seeing 1. The largest I have seen is 3.5kg, caught and was swimming in my friends aquarium in his shop.
Have you seen 1 marugo?

No, it’s definately not a toman and I am definately sure it’s a haruan. This pond I am talking about have a lot of big toman too and plenty of patin. Heard from an uncle (Ah PeK), the biggest toman caught there is 10kg. So far I have landed a 2.5kg which give me a tough fight. The biggest haruan I have seen was a 3kg caught by my brother (that was ages ago in Dato Keramat). The pond doesn’t exist anymore.

Aisey next time get camera phone lah snap pic. of the fish. Aisey not every fish I say bela wan. Have not heard/seen of this kinda size. Haruan up to 10kg also heard b4 (wild) colour also changed. Talks not everyone believe, seeing is believing. There is 1 time my friend bought a toman in execces of 4kg, no matter who see it also said haruan but when it died toman colour came out. Toman and haruan very easy to identify haraun round tail toman almost square.

Good that you tried these lures fishing for haruans is always a challange using different lures, eventually you know which lures work best for which suituation. Not a single lure is effective for all suituation.

If you come down 2 Kajang, I belanja u satay but u must teach me how 2 fish. Maybe we take a drive up Semenyik Dam to see the beautiful scenery, not necessary 2 fish but once up there, hands always itchy, must cast few time only siok.
