No, it is not an artificial lure.
Should’ve seen the moves made by TJS to capture that froggy. I was left stunned!!!
Anyway, that froggy went to battle.
A fierce take, followed by a brief fight, but only the hook came back, no fish landed, froggy declared killed in action.

Look at how the Crystal Minnow was taken!

Injured SP, intentionally cast. Still yielded some catch!!!

Last fish of the day. TJS had a tough time landing a closing ceremony catch…

Congratulations guys ! … you must have had a fantastic time, and the superb photographs show it all.

Well TJS seems to have answered the question concerning color of lures that are effective - practically a different lure in every photograph - including a bare hook ![:D]

This is one of the longest photo scrolling in a post I have seen in a long time. Almost thought TJS was scooping fish out of the water.

Actually all these caused by Minnow bro la! Ask him to fish tak mau, he’s busy taking photoes while i’m busy fishing, tat’s y all the pic got me only(seems so selfish right, hahahahha). Until a certain point where on the same lure i didnt bother taking photo as i’m lazy to pose already, pity minnow walk all the way back with camera whereby i quickly release the fish lol

The action in Bedong is hectic, almost ridiculous… i hasnt had that much fun fishing till it gets so painful for a very very very very n-times. I am glad i was in there on the right day and right time… at first i’m very skeptical of the place as many info actually points to Bedong being over-pressured. It must be pure super good luck to get tat kind of fishing, considering one-cast-one-fish, AND, with bare hooks la, broken plastic la, motionless lure la, even a poor live frog haha.

Because of the abrasion of the siakap mouth, the leader would be cut short 2-3 inch or more after a couple of fish. therefore if u notice in the pic, the leader becomes shorter and shorter pic after pic when u scroll them down.

Was so fun catching fishes after fishes tat my reel’s side plate opened without my awareness, and i end up losing a nut of the reel(talk about too focus on fish). Then i got a sore on my finger too(pic), everytime i post with fish or i have to wash my hand, my God those salt water really HUAT AHHHH…

Luckily Minnow and i both have to leave earlier for some events on CNY, because i don’t think i can stand much longer anyway, and tat’s the truth!!! dont believe can ask Minnow bro hehehe…

Well last but not least… much credit and endless thanks have to be given to bro Minnow, as without him all these fun and poison wouldnt have taken place or completed! So hats off to u bro Minnow, thank you very much… and yea lady fish, no regrets la, next time la it’s my hometown ma sure got next time one, anyhow i am too pain to fish anymore la tat day lol

… and yea, to a certain point… u just wish the fish wont take ur lure, or better yet, take the lure, make some souvenior on the lure, and jump or whatever until it auto releases itself, and viola!!! Everybody’s happy…

Hahaha. Yeah! Leader line shrinking over time!
I’ve forgotten to mention about the reel earlier too - side plate opened & nut missing.
Me being a non-BCer was like, oh no… how do we look for the missing nut ah?
I was all worried, while looking at the grass, thinking about a needle in a haystack scenario.
And TJS was all cool going like, don’t worry bro, continue fish first. Abu good, can get spares, fish first…
Barra frenzy, fishing like mad till no time to notice equipment issues :stuck_out_tongue:

What other mad info did we miss ah?
Oh, I remember that one time, TJS cast, the moment that lure hit water, suddenly there was a wake.
The fish got excited, swirled back, took the bait, hookup auto-set, gave a run, flew out of the water.
Note that all those happened without TJS doing anything yet!!
Only after the fish went back into the water, TJS had a good time reeling it in.
It was so funny. Everything kautim by the fish. He just had to reel it back in.
TJS was really really puzzled. We had a good laugh… What more can you ask for right?

A trip like this would justify ALL the lures you ever bought (i.e. it will not make you look stupid for buying all the lures that people say will not catch fish…hehe)

sumhow they do not take the 1 and only banana lure i brought along for the trip tho lol!!! i dunno why they do look at it and swirl up and down around it but no committed bite tho

even like wat bro minnow said, the barra actually took the Rapala after it landed on the water without me doing anything at all… but i leave the top water there like for hours(maybe 2-3 min lah, cos normally 2-3 second also take edi so it’s considered quite long lol) also no fish wanna take

but anything tat can slide down the water a bit would be taken!

however beware… subsequent trip wasnt so happening hehehe… wait for testimonies from our hero Minnow 1st

TJS, that banana lure case very mysterious ya?

Subsequent trip, two days later after fishing with TJS, was tough!
Fish were still there, still biting, whacking lures, landed some, but fishing was not as crazy…

Had one dasyat hookup by a dear friend. That was definitely a biggie, we all witnessed.
As always, there’s bound to be some challenges & frustrations, hook gave in…

3 or 4 other strong pulls between the two of us, but never managed to set the hook. Never knew how big the fish was.
It could well be the standard 1kg-2kg size, but the strength was definitely powderful…

That’s what makes fishing fun, and challenging right?
Will it be fun if every single trip was firing mad?
