talitampar

thanks delan do u hav any other toman or haruan spot that are near to kajang or semenyih except the dam

Hi tkl8850,
Nearest will be those ex-mining ponds in Puchong. However there is one near Sg Chua but not much good spot for casting. Why not the Semenyih Dam? A lot of toman there and the authorities there are not strick over fishing in the dam.

thanks joman, the reason i am not going to the dam because someone tell me that many people fishing there get robbery by a group of indo guy don’t know true or not do u hav any idea???

I have been fishing there for abt 3 years and have not encounter anything like that. However, it doesn’t mean that it is not true as the place is a bit secluded. Best to go with group of friend and do not carry too much cash & valuable with you. BTW, are you leaving anywhere in Kajang/Semenyih? I am from Saujana Impian, Kajang and may be we can meet up one day for a fishing trip to the dam. What type of fishing are you into, casting or bottom?

Would love to join u guys on a trip someday…I’m new too, would love to try my hands on a toman ^^

Eugene Ng.

tkl,

When u meet a girl worth a salt, I am fairly certain that you will launch plans and lay down a budget for makan, presents, hotel rooms (hopefully you will check-in more than once right?). Korang korang also RM500+++++. On top of that, you will need at least a couple of days of annual leave or fake MCs. Right or not?

Equally so, when you want a fish worth its salt, you need to launch plans and set a budget to go catch it.

Now. Back to the girl. If your plan and budget is to sweep her off her feet by taking her to eat Mahmood Nasi Kandar 25 Jam Setengah and instead of hotel room, you plan to use the back of your oldsmobile, mana boleh? That kind of girl will probably be equal to the black tilapias in the river-monsoon drain near the Bukit Jalil LRT station.

This is toman, man. At least also equal to Miss Photogenic Chinatown Alor Setar chapter lor.

Budget around 500-600 for yourself, three days annual leave. And politely ask the sifus to take you go to Bersia kah, Kenyir kah, Chenderoh kah. Like that la.

Trying to catch toman near kl or selangor every saturday and sunday will probably lead you down that flat, featureless road to boredom, hopefulness, then hopelessness, disappointment, despair and finally depression.

  1. Nothing is ever as easy as it looks.

  2. Everything will take longer than you think it should.

  3. If anything can possibly go wrong, it will.

Bro LOTM…how you know about Ms Photogenic Chinatown ALor Setar chapter one ar? Gua punya hometown oso I never knew got such competition one…like dis got “good” reason to go home more often orrdey[:D][;)][;)][:p]

LOTM, not everybody have the budget to go fishing 4 toman in Lake Kenyir, Bersia, Chenderoh n so on. Don’t quite agreed that hunting for toman in KL and Selangor is that difficult or disappointing as mentioned by you. As the saying goes, a day of poor fishing is still better than a day at work. Have you try the Lombong Buaya and Pulau Meranti Lake in Puchong cos there are still lots of toman there. Have a try and you will not regret.

Count on LOTM to provide the fishing philosophy!

SAY NO TO ISA

does anybody try the toman lake in kota damansara??the toman is damn huge but dont want to eat lure..cast until ur hand cabut..use lampam or keli maybe ok.

TKL8850,

I have to agree to a certain degree with LOTM’s comment on trying out places like Bersia, AG and Kenyir. With so many fishing reports published on those places mentioned, it might be worthwhile to venture and visit places which have generally been a good hunting ground for anglers across Malaysia.

If budget is a concern, then try planning trips with friends to lower down the cost. There might be other anglers from KL who may be willing to bring you along.

myle:

don’t talk so much about advice others to organize trip, how about our BKK fishing trip? I’m confirm there already on the 19th, it is up to you now.

I do not associate with MEAT HUNTER.

How about you go to Cyberjaya in front of Multimedia University. Got 1 lake there with 10KG above toman. Got this info from cyberjaya recreation club staff. Good luck.

i just went to semenyih dam with my friends on last saturday evening, fish from 6pm till 12 midnight, using keli + float, my bait got bitten twice, even the steel to hold my rod also kena pulled until bengkok already, rod also nearly dive into the water, damn syok… But unfortunately couldn’t hook the fella up, argh, dunno why… Will go there and seek for revenge this coming saturday

Yea, I guess it’s the usual spot, where normally got a lot of ppl camp there, I saw ppl landed a 4kg toman before at that spot with keli + float, that’s y I use float.

but at least you got udang , can use as bait or eat it
i , usually get weeds =(
but they are good for decoration =D ( in aquarium )
