Anybody ever get all excited at the thought of a good trip .. dreaming of pulling in at least a decent and sizeable catch .. preparing the night before and going over all your equipment .. only to be HUGELY and SORELY let down the next day?
Unfortunately, that seems to be the order of things nowadays. Not even payponds which promise tons of fish can assure you of some decent fun.
Which brings me and a group of hardcore anglers to this thread - going in to where we can be at least assured of something - some place not too far from the city, but decent enough to have some fun.
If you think you can take leeches and soaked underwear .. join us !! But all guys joining us will have to agree NOT to disclose our hidden spots .. we don’t wanna add to the already barren places in KL.
Finally a nice thread has been establish.
Im looking forward to participate with other anglers so we can share a common interest, share thoughts and contribute on this thread.
===Team Spirit is important among us. Dont think that we are useless===
Prep my gear with the intended rigs, sweating it out making dedak powder, checking my lures, SP & spoons, stocking up on bread & drinking water. Sharpening my knives. Ironing my favorite Camel army style cargo pants & my favorite fishing T-Shirt. Checking Google Maps for the best route. Sleeping earlier than usual, waking up 6am & going straight to the spot, pay RM 18, smiling & full of hope. Pick a nice spot. Lock & load, cast & the game begins.
THEN!..1 hour later, nothing, 2 hours later nothing, 3 hours later STILL NOTHING??? 4 hours later, WTF!?
RM18, I guess you went to Tow Foo? My dad never come back empty handed, at least got a few Pacus. A good day can catch Pacu, Patin and Featherback, even Toman.
Good morning.. Kinda bored in office so google’ing here to see what’s new.. Well, as the best fisherman have ever mention before (not me of course ^^), the worst day of fishing is better than the best day in working.. Hehehehehehe… For me, I enjoy the process.. Because, I feel like preparing for going out to find some snake’kepala’ is a honorable procedure (I like procedure). In the end, this behaviour will help us to go through our daily life (at least a little la, hehehe)
As a active fisherman (myself la, just active not avid, in the way to learn more), I prefer going out enjoy mother natural, listen to the sound of stream and river, see some nice palm size lampam swimming in the water, and of course casting to some nice spot with a nice technique using my old baitcaster… ><
I enjoy every bit of the fishing process. Even if the whole year I did not get a single bite. I enjoy spending some cash buying stuff that not so important because I always thought I will use it in future. I enjoy cleaning my trusted reel, repair my previous broken reel, washing my tackle box, clean and dry my lures, and of course shopping in fishing shop.
It is the passion. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you guys and fishes underwater world~~
p.s: Apologize for my bad English ya, hehehe ~~~ Just 2 cent of my
opinion and thought. There’s much more sifu in this forum.
Now the proper thread has been found,
action has to be drastic as it sound,
go all way gather our friends around,
to seek and look for more foray ground,
walk the talk and let’s make it profound.[:D][:D]

Congrats on your first toman and it is a good size one. I believe now you will be hungry for more. BTW, Merry Xmas to all MFN buddies and may Santa grant you your wish catch.
Although this one is small compared to you sifu-sifu out there. This is my 1st Snakehead in 12 years. Also, my 1st Snakehead landed with artificial baits. MERRY X-MAS everyone! My best gift this year! YeeeeeeeHAH!!!
