Mr. Wong Besok has just enquired whether walk ins could participate in the competition. To date, there are at least 02 persons wanting to participate.

As I will be away until Sept. 23, can anyone in here inform Mr. Wong ( 019-2283489 ) of the rules/regulations so he could handle enquiries as and when it arises.

Many thanks and this is to reconfirm my 5 pieces of Lamb Shank with 2 kilos of Beriyani Rice.

This may be my last posting till Sept. 25, unless I could get to a PC from Kuala Rompin.

Mr.D Bro,

Grand Supreme Marshall aka Rainbowruner is finalising the Rules & Regulations. He will have the final “verdict”.

But in my humble opinion, I always welcome “walk-in” participants, they are encouraged to join us on the “Pot Luck” and MFN gatherings. However they are not entitled to the “prize of the competition”. In another words, they can compete but cannot win any prize. We must fair to “legally” registered MFN members.

Tow Foo Potluck/Friendly Fishing competition

The Event

The goal of this event is to bring together MFN forum members for a friendly fishing competition among friends and to put the faces to the names.
A potluck is also in order and any food or beverages supplied would be appreciated.

Date
Sunday September 25, 2011

Time
7.00 am to 4.00pm (subject to change by Chief Marshal in case of inclement weather)

Venue
Main lake at Tow Foo Sports Fishing Centre, Kundang

Participation Fee

Participants are required to pay their own fishing fees and bill for food and beverages consumed as imposed by the management of Tow Foo Sports Fishing Centre.

Rules and Regulations

Each angler is allowed the use of only 1 rod at any one time. Handlines are not allowed.
This event is opened for bottom fishing from shore only.
Open category line class.
All hooks must be debarbed or pressed down.
Terminal leaders must not have more then 1 hook. Bomb rigs may be employed with the condition there is no more then 1 hook. Stinger hooks are not allowed.
The use of animal innards is strictly forbidden.
Anglers must provide own landing nets and must be employed in landing the fish. Lip grips are not allowed.
All fishes must be lip hooked to be eligible for consideration.
All fishes must be presented alive for weighing immediately upon landing and subsequently release there after.
The 3 heaviest fishes caught by the end of the day would be considered the winning catches of the competition.
The Chief Marshal¡¯s decision is final and no appeals would be entertained.

Programme

6.30am - Registration confirmation

7.00am - Fishing commences

12.00 pm - Lunch break (absolutely NO FISHING)

1.00 pm ¨C Fishing competition continues

4.00 pm - ALL FISHING stops. Final submission for weigh-in

5.00 to 5.30pm - Announcement of results and prize presentation

Note:

Lunch would be at the Canteen to enable chin wags and angler’s tales.
All lines MUST be out of the water during the Lunch break.

These Rules and Regulations subject to change without prior notice as deem fit by the Chief Marshal/Organisers.
