All Malaysia will see sunny weather for most of the week.
straits of Malacca - Waves 3 to 3 feet and winds 20km/h going up to 35km/h in late afternoon
South China Sea - Waves 3 to 5 feet, winds 30km/h in evenings, morning to noon 10km/h
Sandakan and Bintulu</font id=“blue”> (Raining on Monday Afternoon and Evening) wind factor at 30km/h, waves at 3 to 5 footers
You can expect strong currents at tide change. You will need at least number 20 weights during that period to be able to hit the desired Angchor that will be active on those water conditions.
I will update a more accurate readings on Thursday when UN activate a new SatCom in the Andaman/Bangladesh sub zone
I am not really that far south. Just 2 hrs boat ride from jetty which should be just at the deep edge of the shelf. 2 months ago, I went to the same place and had good number of jenahaks, groupers and 14 nos black tip sharks about 3ft long.
Thanks a lot for your help. I always enjoy reading MFN though as a passive reader.
So far on those dates there is a 30% chance of rain, winds of 25km/h, waves 1 to 2 feet. The water temperature will make bottom fishing a better option near islands

many thanks for the info, what is the wind direction, what weight do you recommend for those area above P. Tioman, we are going for a 3 days 2 nights trips. Once again thanks for the valuable info and your prompt reply.
As of now, the winds is westerly (that is blowing inwards towards the main land), as for weights you will need a broad spectrum from Number 1 (teardrop and running sinker type) to Number 8 (teardrop) at maximum current flow (especially if you aim to plant your bait as close as you can to the “Unjangs”

Came back in one piece from Straits of Malacca. The sudden wind that is so strong, that chairs went flying into the sea is no joke.
The sea looked neap but the under currents is very strong. I have to use at least 2 pcs of #16 to get it down to the bottom.
We did have a good catch. Thanks a lot for that advice on the currents.
DON’T trust Google Earth Maps, they are (for security reasons) at least 6 months ago.
p.s
Why bother with Google, you got me [:)]
