++weird happenings++++++++

dear friends, last Saturday i witness something amazing…patin, pacu, jelawat and toman feeding freezie.
its was at cyberjaya lake-the restricted one.they were just taking bread thrown at at..best past was the place was boiling with hundred of fishes…pacu’s were whacking the bread pieces as they touch the water.they we huge..i’m mean really huge-5-12kg++.

the best part was the toman..i was looking at 10-20 toman’s from 1kg to 5kg’s so close..i mean they were just 2 feet away from the floating bridge in front of the grandstand..

the funny past is the toman seems to acquire a taste for read..i mean they were eating it in-front of your eyes..seems they change into vegetarian…

this place would be a perfect place to take underwater picture of the fishes up close..they fish are very tame and not fished that often..accept for the annual fishing competition..

based my observation…pacu is more organized and attack in pack’s i ean hundred of them…pating seems to attack from out of no where..i mean it’s really like 'hit an run’they just whack the bread out of no where..that also applies to jelawats…

i was there for about 45minutes observing and had a sleepless night..wow..i highly recommend this place to bring you kids and feed them up close…[:D]

Hi RK,

U can try visit S2, garden lake in Seremban. Throw anything in the Tilapia, Keli, Jelawat, Carp & terrapins will gobble up immediately. Also, the fish there is minimal 1kg & above, largest fish I saw was an estimated > 4’ Keli. Excited? Well, too bad. It’s a guarded lake, fishing is strictly prohibited.

I live for the Hunt!

Red Kelisa, I thought Cyberjaya lake was open to the public for fishing?

Malaysian fishes changing taste from belacan
to bread. Not surprising, BSR FISHES all feed on bread, cyberjaya lake will be the same, you will be able to catch haruan and toman with bread and hong [dedak].[:D][:D][:D]

Last weekend saturday morning at teluk cempedak..at the end near the mountain bike area and the rocky place…there is this small freshwater stream flowing into the sea…i was observing from the small bridge there…this was just 2-3 meters from the sea…the stream was full of guppies..never knew ikan longkang can survive in salf water…its was even more bizzare..when 2 curut’s pop up and wacking the guppies…i guess since toman can survive in salt water..i guess their cousin can do the same.

RK bro,

From the title my first thought was that you’d seen a ghost or aliens while you were fishing… hahaha…

Here is another weird thing I witness. Well, weird for me but not the golfers that frequent the Swiss Garden Hotel (golf course). A few years ago I was there to witness one of the most fascinating event… the escape of deers from their deer park. Imagine deers running wild. The “then” GM asked me if I had any ideas how to lure those deers back into the holding area… Free roaming deer is more fun, so…

What was weird is that the drainage that runs through the hotel and parts of the golf course had small, almost a foot long todaks swimming in them. The drain is also not a huge drain but the normal smallish longkang. Weird…

Fish & Fish yet catch & release.
