We had several favourite fishing spots for snakehead. The one that we missed is the four ponds in Desa Hartamas..where we can fished for haruan, toman, tilapia and catched some juvenvile sebarau for our fish tank. The Tilapia was really graceful swimming around in that crystal clear water, during that time we were not interested to fish for this species. With little sunlight penetrating into this pond.. the water temperature was really cold. We didn’t measure it or do a ph measurement on this particular pond.. The clarity of that particular pond was like the existing natural pond in Kota Damansara, just smaller.
nice to hear that a pond has crystal clear water, of the few ponds i visited, the waters are murky
Some fellow forumer had put up a topic under Mini Tasik Kenyir/Kota Damansara. You can see the clarity from the photo.
Then there was the nearest pond that is near where we reside , My Sifu practise his SP religiously and a few other would meet up here. More like our ‘Tempat’ Development into high end residential ( Desa Parkcity ) had literally buried all those haruan yet to have taken our baits. As our statistic show it would be active just after the evening rain, sometime we really had a field day there .
Is it the pond near the telekoms, leading towards Sri Bintang?

Feeding fish if not get any on rod and line, let them grow bigger to fish another day.
Just Opposite Ho HO Restaurant right up to the Sunway SPK. a very big pond in those day before human development
Another place that suited my taste is Uncle Taxi Chew place in Ulu Langat .Initially the toothless fish are easily outsmart . Patin give a really good fight .But the owner think otherwise, slowly these fishes don’t give a damm for the bait. Suspect the owner had well feed them before fisho came.. The consolation is the numerous haruan rear for sale, without his knowledge steal a few bite for the haruan . C & R cos their haraun look like bujuk, small head as relative to the body.. His haruan are well feed with cooked chicken intestine.
Tade port favourite huhu

WOW!! Desa Hartamas got haruan??!! I school there, yet I dun see any fishing ponds
That secondary school, the longang on your right previously was teem with juvenile sebarau, we used to trek along the longang, to go inside the crystral clear pond further in . There is a Toman infested pond after this clear pond to the right though bigger and yellowish in nature caused by the clearing up stream. You can enjoy those horse neighing around too.
The best place that we enjoyed for the past few years is no doubt the 'Estate ’ Many records were broken until my this genius kaki introduce his other friends to this spot. Since they are into F & B and ORE guys and are free after the luncheon.. Whack off all those aggresive haruan, Toman and Bujuk beside baiting with fishes too.luckily Uncle Lim with his more attractive option had cooled off this group. But soon development will once again finished off this bujuk and haruan paradise.
Paddy field irrigation canal at Teluk Intan.. And flood mitigation area at Setiu.. My all-time favourite..
Sam [:D]
have knives will travel..

For a change , divert our attention to Batang Berjuntai , not very good result yet, though the bujuk are as aggresive as the haruan at this swift flowing stream.
When Time permits, we like to go to Kelong in P. Sibu . The peaceful environment ( maybe a lot of ozone ) .. fishes that might by caught anytime make Kelong fishing a challenge too ( especially fellow kaki landing big specimen. During the monsoon season landing baitfishes is really a breeze

You will be able to post another bigger fish, hopefully this week or next.
