The ‘kingfish’ that you mentioned is a relative different species, (sceintific name = seriola lalandi), which is a common species often called ‘yellowtail’. The difference is the color.

Greater amberjack can be identified by its red from their dorsal fin to lateral line. While yellowtail can be identified by its tail and fin are yellowish. Yellowtail dont have scutes on its lateral line.
Both are top water species often seek through plugs and poppers, techniques used are very similar to GT.

i baru balik dr terengganu oil rig last week, rod xzoga yg u custom u bagus tp utk ikan dibawah 20kg. disana byk ikan 20kg ke atas & i cadang untuk custom 1 more xzoga 7’6"~8" PE8 for preparation next year trip. so uncle rasa berape kos rod & bole ke joint butt.. maybe i nak matchkan the new rod dengan stella10000/mainline PE8

Hi Unc[:D], do you have any carbon fiber tubes? Intend to use them as spacer. Or do you know where I can find some in JB? Comes in various sizes, patterns and wall thickness. Sample picture attached.

You need a 30lb class stand-up game rod with detachable handle, say over all length 5ft 6inches, built complete with fuji heavy duty sic guides. The price is RM1000.00 with warranty + PVC CASING AND COURIER SERVICE. You can also up grade to 50 series reels with the same rod.
