Well we anglers have a common saying “A worse day at fishing is better than a best day at work” and “Work is for those who don’t know how to fish”.
I had bad, good and best days on the mentioned subject. I normally enjoyed camping trips fishing for snakeheads. place like Rantau Abang, SKC Slim River, Sg. Dusun, desinated place are oil palm estates. Bukit Beruntung & Bidor which are pond/ex-mining ponds. Tg. Karang and Sg. Tinggi canals and streams
So far I caught 5 kinds of snakeheads namely Tomans, common haruans, haruan palas/yong kung, toman bunga and bujuks. By far toman bunga is still my favorite, aggressive and good fighting.
So let me conclude by saying that my best this year for snakeheads is still Bidor. The posting on 9/9/07 lucky double 9. Good number for chinese, cheong cheong kaw kaw.
All caught between 7am to 1.30pm. All between 1.5kg to 2kg. What a result for 6.5hr. of fishing.
I am sure you guys & gals got better snakeheads fishing histories & records to share. Come on guys & gals pour in and share yours. Good luck and can’t wait to hear from you MFN members.
Feeding fish if not get any on rod and line, let them grow bigger to fish another day.
Well done with your catch jaswon… and i had my own record history to share with all MFN forumers. on last saturday 10-11-07 i already got my 1st ever haruan caught on lures by using spinnerbait… after a long time of casting i finally feel the feeling of hook by haruan… weighted not too bad about 800 - 900 gram.. actually around my area still i dont see any other caster… right now still had a lot of places and spot i still dont have time to cast… by right my record is the best time i can hook up with 2 haruan within 2 minutes… but the second 1 loose after i try to get it out from the water… right now i am catching my own record to break!!! before this all my friend is not trusting that i could get a catch with lure, and even with these haruan… finally its the best thing i can share with them is showing my catch… they now knew that its the truth these lure can be a killer for fish…
Nope not at all, been fishing at Bkt. Beruntung and Bidor respectively last couple of weekend. No rain at all accept when we are travelling back. Pretty lucky and hopefully it is like wise this weekend fishing for toman bunga and bujuk.

Bro Jaswon, personally hadn’t hook up any Toman bunga , please post some of your catches here for fellow forumer to feast on.. Kind regards… really who gonna stop the rain..
i caught these haruans in a canal adjacent to the paddy fields, this canal is not poisoned. the other canals do not have weeds nor fish. thus, making it safe for me to consume these fishes. the fact that i’m still alive and kicking shows that it’s fine i guess. haha.. cheers jaswon.
I only think about fishing on 3 days: yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
