Anyone using the zerek lure? I heard it was design for local fishes, so planning to buy it. But I havent come across any shop selling, anyone can tell me where to get?
By the way, if anyone had use the lure, can tell me how is the result? Is it good?
havent try em n dont see them much… so far only saw some selection of such brand being sold at young trading, pudu and ocean sea tackle, seri kembangan…

i got one for free from rod&line magazine… there was a promotion and all u had to do was cut out the coupon and mail it to them… haven’t tried it out yet though cos im still a noob caster…

i bought 1 but haven’t tried it yet. bought the chrome pencil at kepong tackle for rm25. kinda pricey for an unknown brand.
Kepong tackle is selling? I havent seen them? I went to a local shop, they are selling at 28, is kinda pricy too. I would expect them to be cheaper than Rapala.

yup… tat’s y i am awaiting responses first before i decided to spend my previous lil money on em…
looks good… but not sure bout their quality of components, qc, oem factory etc… all i know is if they are great lures i dont mind going for em… otherwise, for the same price as regular rapala, i have many options to look for, for now

its a singaporean brand if not mistaken. heard that the pencils are great, but i’ve yet to stumble across them yet. would love to try it though…
had a chance to look at 'em at Ocean Sea today …
looks almost identical to Surecatch’s tommy lures
differences are at the mouth where we tie our line, sides (more of decorative nature) where the mould could’ve slight modifications
zerek rm28/pc
surecatch rm15/pc
the zereks have better colours and finishing tho’
all come in “origin series” packaging
even ofmer is coming out similar looking lures
hehe..a sifu told me once…buy cheap and modify..you can beat any high end stuff any day any time..hehe

if you buy zerek lure at tat seng pudu, they will give you 15% discount.. a lil bit pricey (rm28 pc)..

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is selling at Rm30…now this is way too pricey…with this money I have so many choices to choose from..
According to some of my kakis, this lure perform well especially the top water pencil. I have not personally tried it out yet…
Looked up these lures on their website. Watched the videos that they had for each lure, displaying the kind of ation we can expect from the lures. Really didn’t impress me that much.
I’ve also heard the pencil is quite good. But in the video, seemed just like any other RM15-RM30 pencil to me.
For about RM30 for each Zerek lure (more exp than most Rapala, Storm, River2Sea, Cultiva, Rebel, Bomber, YoZuri, Halco, Cotton Cordell, Duel, and Strike Pro lures… not to mention the Bakau, Seahawk, and Eupro lures)…
Zerek doesn’t seem to offer more plus points than any of these other brands, that already offer tried and proven quality for lower prices.
I’ve also looked at most models up close before, and the finishing did not impress me at all.
Looking at the finishing and design of the lures, and subsequently the promo videos of the lures in action, the Zerek lures seem to be very average (or even slightly sub-average) lures with a premium price that’s simply not worth our Ringgit.
Nevertheless, i might have to get a pencil to try just because there have been positive rumours about this model. Other than that, it just looks to me like Grade ‘B+’ goods with Grade ‘A-’ advertising.
tried the zerek chrome doggy at air ganda last saturday n all the 1kg+ to 2kg toman seems to like it very much.
but to me i think its the color that resembles their daily meal, the seluangs n lomas…
