Looking for trouble by visiting the fishing shops on a pleasant Sunday morning - deserved to be hit.
Walked into the shop near Young Trading and saw a whole pile of White reels with the word " Alpine " on the spool.
Matched with a 51/2 foot " Viper " rod ( also white ), the set cost a little over 10% of my Daiwa Caldia / ABU Veritas combination !
OK - will now put it to the test in KL payponds over the next few months to see whether I catch less fish.
Can always blame my " white fruit " equipment [:D]

RK - if we imagine that we are a fish - and we look upwards - the white rod is not that easy to see ya ? Anyway, that is the theory lah … not the looking good part. In fact, the funny stares that I have been getting seem to be more for appropriate for somebody with at least one screw loose.
