Bro, i used this reel about 3 months ago. Very nice and smooth reel for fast retrieving lure. I believed an abu ambassadeur reels are very reliable reel.I used a 4601C4 for about 7 years and it still going strong (with little maintenance). I have 5601C4 and use it for nearly 5 years and still smooth and in tip top conditions. But you need to clean/rinse it including stripping the line after saltwater fishing trip and do not forget to check the internal part once a while if you fishing in saltwater. The new C4 with golden spool use a carbon matrix drag is very strong, hence less strees to other parts of drag assembly.

As far as i know, the newer C4 has a carbon matrix drag which is much stronger, cool golden spool and handle. As for corrosion resistant especially it’s spool, that i don’t know. As for smoothness, i did not feel any different between those two versions.

most abu round reel are from sweden no worries even the cheapest c3, especially those old models… there are later models of round reel made else where but the c series are from sweden

RM400 for used? hmmm… but they cost USD99 on web n comes only in right hand model

Finally got my reel .. It’s so far the best bc i ever had .. the casting was really smooth .. and it really feels solid .. though i am content with it now, but there has been an itch in my heart .. as that day i saw the abu record .. looks very nice also .. which one is better i always question myself .. anyone can help me ???

I remember 5 years ago when i bought my 5601C4,i said to myself that this would be the last reel that i bought. But after i bought 4600C4 (for tarpon fishing) 3 months ago now i start to browsing at net an Abu Morrum ZX hehehe.

save up now, dun buy any reel at all, just remind yourself again and again u edi hav enough of everything u need, which u really did or else how u going to fish? just keep those tat serve u for mostly wat u do
