Planning to go for a roadtrip in a weekend in Nov with some close frens. The beach in pahang, where they had the fishing competition was nice but its quite a distance.. so kalau boleh yg dekat sikit.

Hi gaban,
So sorry for the late response, have been off-line for awhile due to the Hari Raya and my tight work schedule lah.
I normally surf fish in Pahang and Johore at the following areas:-
1)Nenasi - you have a stretch of nice beach there and we usually stay at the “motel” like rooms near the Nenasi bridge.
2)Kuala Rompin beach- we normally stay at the K. Rompin Beach Resort. The beach is rather flat but surprisingly produce decent rays.
3)Pantai Lanun (near Pantai Penyabung)- We normally fish at the rocks on the left side of the beach as it is now overly crowded with picnickers nowadays and accomodation wise would be ideal at Endau Beach Resort.
I seldom fish any further than these places and I think it is quite near to Singapore too.

Oooops…regarding the baits, I normally just use squids and prawns from the supermarket.
Usually use the squid strips to catch bolos and use them as cut baits for the rays lah!
