Managed to stay away from this forum and any tackle shops for the past 9 days. Whew!!! Man, it’s tough[B)]…similar to drug addict going thru the cold shower treatment[:p]
Now that I am PARTIALLY cured…I tried stepping into the smallest, least equiped tackle shop in town to assess the effect of my self treatment…Hmmmm…not too bad…didnt have any urge to buy anything…TILL…I saw…a Eupro Exploder 5ft rod…ahhhh…so another UL rod eh…This rod is ULTRA thin but the spec on the rod says…8-15lbs line and 60gm to 80gm lure…My eyes almost pop out in disbelief[:0]…I looked at the price tag that say RM 98…went to the shop owner to see how much it will cost me to have this tiny weeny rod…special offer…RM 65 only[8)]…cos he dont believe I will buy the rod[V]…
Now any of you sifus out there tried this particular rod?</font id=“purple”>

StewardK - wats ur budget on UL rod? The cost can range from RM 20 - RM 1000[:p]…make sure u pair UL rod w UL reel for real thrill[;)].

Sengiran will be coming to Melaka on Fri evening with the some of the gang. Collect your poison before Friday as he do not have proper facility to keep the rod hence it may develop “The Bend” aka “Bengkok” soon.</font id=“purple”>
I test driven the rod over the weekend with some of the fellow forummers who came to Melaka for some marathon fishing. Managed to land 1 X 4kg Pacu and 1 X 4.3kg keli with the rod. The bend/action of the rod was ok but not very balanced. The rod tend to slip out of the arm area where I rest the butt section while fighting the fishes. I find the butt section too short for my liking. However, for the price that I paid for it, I would rate it to be OK.</font id=“purple”>
