I guess different people will have different reasons:
-lifestyle, career, family reunion, lifestyle change, weather, economy, greener grass (perceived?), etc etc. Better fishing (very debatable??), exotic women???
-1970s Hippie lifestyle, free education
-1980s Asian recession,
-1990s fast money, fast food, fast cars, fast women, Asian melt down
-2000s fishing

Funny translation. Haha. Are you translating your thoughts? I just listed some generic reasons - did not specify which are mine. hehehe

Note:

reason for migration (lifestyle… exotic women) is a collection of different reasons for different people. Not one person’s.

2)Everything better in OZ??
I have actually lived (not just visit)in KL, Singapore, Bangkok, Melbourne and Syney.
I have done business (regular visits) in Malaysia, Singapoe, Thailand, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, China, Nepal and had visited many other countries; I have yet to find a perfect country. Every place has it’s pros and cons and I think each person have to find that compromise to suit themselves. I have met many people who have migrated to Australia and returned to where ever they come from within 6 months.
Look at all the MatSallehs flooding into Bangkok and Pattaya - does that mean that these are great palces to live? Only they can answer that.

I spent 10 years in the cosmetic business and I learned only one thing. The grass is always greener at the next pasture.
Fat people want to be thin vice versa
Dark skin want light skin vice versa (michale jackson, tanning salons, sun baking etc etc)
Straight hair people want curly hair vice versa
etc etc etc.

So in other words - there is no need for real reason. Feel like doing it = DO IT!! That’s life and that’s how to live a happy life - in my opinion.

AND IT IS OK TO HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION

How true Flicker, me myself being 2nd citizen at Singapore for a long 13 years, i know what you meant. Coming back to Port Klang to me is like returning to paradise. Ppl like you and me, no matter where we are, we know what is best for us…[:D]
