Fishing spots in perai

HI to all you anglers out there.i was wondering if there are any good places to fish near perai or penang.I am talking about shore fishing.
Is there any good spots left.directions would be much appreciated.
[:D]

I myself like the Queensbay area.
But due to work cannot get there at the proper time.
I see the water there quite ‘high and nice’ before noon time.

I’ve seen people pull out Ikan Daun Baru Baru (not sure name).
Even the Belukang (sai seng?) 1kg size.
Very syiok.

3 weeks ago got competition there.
1st prize went to 6.5kg Pari.

All caught before noon.

Afternoon I only get the gelamas and duris.
And the occasional ketuka.

Off topic a bit.
Heard there’s a new paypond in Juru.
Anybody can point out where?
Not very familliar with mainland.

I am from the mainland, but i haven’t heard of any paypond there.Juru area is near to autocity.Anyway
thanks for the info.please let me know if you find out about the paypond.

No artificial lures allowed. Live prawns sold at the pond at 0.50cents each. Bring you own live bait container or you will have to buy it from them - no lending wan. [xx(]

Lolx.. Why we cannot use artificial lures [xx(]? If the pond pratice the same method as Pla Buk pond, CnR and using barbless lures, they can maintain the business well.. I wonder why..

Not a CnR pond. You can take back the fishes you catch. Very good sized fighters the fishes.

Rm15 an hour, hee hee cannot catch and release [:D]

Oh ya. Last week’s jackpot was a 6.5kg stingray/pari.

[:D] You can try Pulau Aman heard there are chalets ,have not tried myself but seems to have a shore you can try for siakap[?] The Port is another alternative although being a restricted area ,getting in is a challenge. On the islandside, behind the airport, permatang Dami laut is where I sometimes try for kerapu/MJ. Batu Ferringhi/Teluk Bahang is another alternative, just follow the road and when you see a rocky shore, park your car and there you go.But be prepared for snags.Get a tackleback or be ready to swim for your expensive lure!

Ps. Bring your own landing net.

Not allowing artificial lures is common in many pay ponds in or around KL. Just try to imagine how much they make in selling us live prawns, belanaks, lampams, etc.

Having said that 50 cents per live prawn is cheap - we get banged RM1 each ![xx(]

Penang Island live prawns 60 cents.
Paypond at Teluk Kechai@Kuala Kedah that I frequent used to be 50 cents, just went up to 60 cents.
