UFO is organizing a fly casting class for beginner who wish to pick up fly fishing and learn the proper fundamental of fly casting.
The date of the above casting class is on the 2nd Sunday of May ( 9th of May ) the location proposed are MPSJ field in Subang Taipan
There will be a minimum charges ( RM10-15 per/head ) to cover the rental of field and drinks.
There will be some very good fly casting instructor who will be teaching the same casting skill, which each instructor will only handle not more than 5 students.

Spinfly workshop… Ummmm… that is interesting… I can’t remember I had any workshop on that, but would be a interesting workshop to have.
May be we can have one like that soon, but will need more people to share their experience on the spinflies they designed… I only tie a few before… not enough experience to hold a workshop on my own…

Our instructors… Ben Foo and Doc Ling have came up with some simple programe:
Objective of this Class is for improvement of skills for the beginner to intermediate fly angler.
The areas to cover for casting are:
• How to cast with tighter loops
• How to improve back-cast
• How to improve accuracy
• How to control loop shapes eg tight or wide loops
• How to double haul
• How to roll cast
• How to cast against the wind/wind from casting side
• How to perform side-cast/low casts
• How to cast a dry-fly
• How to cast a heavy fly
• How to handle flyline with regards to casting and fishing (floating and sinking lines)
• How to cast further
On general matters are:
• How to select/purchase a flyrod
• How to choose an appropriate flyline
• General info about flyrods
• General info about flylines
• Flyline maintenance
The student are divided to groups which guide by different instructors,
For each CASTING topic, we will spend no more than 30 minutes. We plan to conduct 3 separate classes simultaneously using 3 instructors.
After that, the next 3 topics topics to follow right after with the same or other instructors.
We plan to start by 8.00am, we should have IMPROVE YOUR CASTING finished before lunch.
After lunch, the instructors can again conduct separate classes on GENERAL MATTERS
