Fellow fly fishers,
I will be fishing in the catch and release pond (Bedong, SP), between Feb 2 - Feb 5. Most of the fish will be siakap and some mangrove jacks, this is strictly catch and release. The cost is about RM 20 for the whole day. Anyone interested in coming along?

might be back to penang for cny from 2/2/08 - 10/2/08. most probably will be there on 3/2/08 to teach the lady fish a lesson ot two. hope to c some mfn bros there. cheers.

unlike the last time where i lupa to bawak gua punya pellet fly, this time i will have my fly epoxy to my dahi and oso goes to my ācameramanā cum āgillieā koay kao

As Choo says, Iāll be tagging along to Bedong, but I highly doubt that I will be catching any fish on fly. However, if I do pick up a fly rod, you guys better run far far away if youāre not into kavadi stuff ;).
When the date draws near, I will post meeting location and time. Most probably we will leave early morning at 6am and arrive Bedong at around 7am. It will be fun, I heard its a pretty consistent hook up pond.
What type of flies are you guys using? I think a clouser might work. Havenāt try, what do you guys think?

suggested fly-clousers,pellet flies(dark green/grey),nymph,wolly buggers and green cans (carlberg)

been fishing there since 2005. so far no MJs. only got tarpon, ladyfish, ikan ubi, kitang, and siakaps. previously got jenahak and one-off senangins. so, whatās the confirmed date? will try to meet u guys up thereā¦now gotta go search for me bedong keys!

I have seen the Ladyfish hantam a drowned House Fly (Hor Sin - the big black variety). Any of you got one of those?
Iāve also seen an abundance of dragonflies flying around there. Perhaps the fishes eat them too but have never seen it happen. Perhaps the larvae of a dragonfly ,ight also work.
