Hello all, am new to this forum but have been reading with interest all the various posts for a while. I have this year taken an interest in the local freshwater scene and the immediate area available to fish would be Johore state.
Now that is a lot of ground to cover I know and of course there are lots of lakes, ponds, and rivers. But… no 4 WD[xx(]..so limited to pay ponds so far. But, the lure of river fishing is strong..(something maybe to do with fly fishing roots).
Having read Tony Wee’s thread on the “State of our Rivers” in the Freshwater section was very disheartening to say the least. This was after an outing near Kahang yesterday, where the small river I fished was muddy and silted, the state of most rivers..and this was excluding the rubbish!
Is there anywhere some kind person can suggest I can go for a positive experience (ie clean water, can take some rubbish .. but clean water) without going deep into Endau ..(remember.. no 4WD[:(])?
Or am I just wishing thinking[?][:I] Thanks!
You might was to ask Unlce Thomas (one of our forumers). He is based in Johor, he will know a lot of fishing spots 
Ask Uncle Thomas I did, that was before my trip to Kahang. He’s not too familiar with that side. Maybe have to grill him some more[:D]. Or maybe buy him makan from shop downstairs![}:)]
